Just as it did before refurbishment and removal of the lever frame, in 2012 Elsham SB was still working AB to Wrawby Junction SB (left) and Appleby SB (right).
The block instruments and bells are incorporated into the panel, this photo shows an unusually quiet (at the time) moment with no trains "on the block" at all.
Elsham SB closed on Christmas Eve 2015 with control transferred to the North Lincs Workstation at York ROC, photos of which can be found later in this album.

The door closing panel laid up, will need to trim to suit the inner wing shape but wanted to use one mould for both sides instead of having 2 "handed" moulds and have make the recess larger than an original to allow more adjustment and also allow my large hands to get in there. I will fabricate a steel plate with 3-4 welded nuts on it then the hinge frame (yet to make) will bolt to this, I will slot the holes for adjustment, just hope I have got my measurements right!!

You know that Warner Brothers cartoon where the squirrel happens along an enormous cart filled with walnuts? It was a Chuck Jones cartoon. So his expression shifted from shocked disbelief, to a smile that slowly spread all the way to the sides of his head, and finally to a frozen leap into the air in which he clasped his chest with both of his hands and enormous little hearts floated like bubbles from his eyes.
At the Flea, this is my reaction to a big tray of random medical instruments. You immediately have my attention, Mr. Vendor; soon, you shall have my money.
Alas, in this case I came home with photos instead of Implements of...let's be positive and say "Healing." The guy wanted either $100 for the whole collection or "way more than I wanted to spend" for any of the individual instruments.

Door panel simple but elegant with door pull, long armrest and deep pile carpeted lower section. This car had crank windows but power lifts were optional. In addition to crank windows is yet another feature that has all but disappeared from today's cars, an ashtray at the back end of the armrest. Most modern cars have only one ashtray in the dashboard for the driver and front seat passengers. Guess today's back-seaters will have to bring their own ashtrays or ride "cold turkey".

In addition, the technique can save what are clearly finite resources from extinction, s...
