Just after I'd fairly well mastered the basics of photography, I used to load up a 24 exposure roll of film and go out and shoot the whole roll; simply for the joy of taking pictures and using a camera. It was a luxury I would indulge in, being as I didn't have a whole lot of money to spend on photography, so I was careful to try and make every shot count. I won't say those rolls produced any artistic shots or great photography, but I did have a lot of fun and enjoyment during that period. Thinking back to that period, it seems like forever since I've experienced that feeling of "just shooting for shooting's sake." And now in this digital age, we're not limited to 24 exposures and can shoot as many pictures as we want. But, I miss those days of the "24 Frame Mindset." Today, I took my digital camera outside into my yard and tried to recreate that feeling by shooting 24 exposures as if it were one roll of film. These are all those photos that comprised my 24 exposure "roll of film." I don't claim them to be great art or anything, but it sure was fun.
Some sort of packing materials that had an interesting shape to it. And when you're looking for 24 frames from an exhausted source like my backyard, sometimes you really have to reach for subjects!

Documentation of us slowly and laboriously packing of all our stuff in boxes (minus the gazillion bags of things that have gone to Goodwill or the trash), followed by the professional movers' much more efficient loading of our things out of the condo and into an LA-bound truck! It's now oh-so-empty in here...
Sorry I can't stop long, but I'm in the middle of packing as I'm off to another DAS do in a few minutes!
Sorry it's rather boring here today, but you can always go and have a look at my blog if you'd like. Lots of people have said it's rather good, and not just because of the skipping penguin either.
Anyways, ttfn and have a lovely weekend y'all!
More pix as soon as I get back :o)
