Workers in the packing plant, cleaning and packing bananas for export. Bananas ar checked for quality, weighed, and boxed according to the preferences of each buyer. In this case, the bananas were being packed in Del Monte boxes and shipped mostly to the US. Most of the packing plant workers are women.
we're off to Jackson Hole, Wyoming on thursday for a wedding. So I'm happily packing today. Here are some clothes I'm bringing :)
Packing, purging, and sorting the stuff (Read: junk) that we've gathered in 3 years in the shed. Most of those boxes are computer parts. Oye.

3 minutes after I took this yesterday, the movers showed up a day early. I was still in my pjs and enjoying my coffee before the boys woke up.
We fit 11 people plus all of our camping gear and food and water for two days into one bakkie. A couple people had to ride on top. It was tight (obviously) but not a record. (A bakkie is a pickup truck, in this case a small Toyota with a canopy. It's pronounced "bucky.")
Documentation of us slowly and laboriously packing of all our stuff in boxes (minus the gazillion bags of things that have gone to Goodwill or the trash), followed by the professional movers' much more efficient loading of our things out of the condo and into an LA-bound truck! It's now oh-so-empty in here...
It's that time of year again. We're all packing up and heading home for another winter. Goodbye to Denali until next summer. (this isn't a species found here :)
We head out tomorrow for Albany for a couple nights, and then off to the Woodstock Fruit Festival for a week. I've got packing down to a science with my laundry basket system... but it's still a lot of work... can't wait to get on the road!
