Prairie Warbler - The Trail to Davey's Pond, Higbee Beach WMA, Cape May, New Jersey
I spotted this guy about 50 feet out, and every time I was about to press off a shot it would fly. But to my amazement it flew closer each time, and then when it was at my MFD (minimum focus distance, about 20 feet), it sat and allowed me to make a number of captures.
And I have to say, that made my day!
I'm trying to get back into the swing of taking photos and I've had so many false starts. However, I've posted I think three times this week. I haven't done more than a cell phone snap, but so what... I'm showing progress. I have the summer off from teaching as school is out now. I may try and sub a little this summer if anything is available. My grandson has one more week of finals and we need to push through that. If he wears the damn rubber-bands his braces will come off in two weeks. Life is life is life. And we roll on...

This guy was quite proud of himself, still running with a couple dozen cows & calves, bugling and attempting to herd them up while they paid him little mind. Photographed on Monday after our weekend snowstorm.

Well my local Garden Foxes has taken to robbing my bird food bag! Twice in the last few days I've woken up at stupid O'Clock to the noise of the fox running down the garden with a bag of bird food! Fist it was a big bag of sunflower seeds, which she soon discovered was a waste of time, as they still have the shells on, so she just scattered them around the garden instead! Then she stole a bag of peanuts, which she did eat! I keep the food in a large bag next to the back door, which I've been leaving open at night due to it being rather warm here in London at night!
I've moved the bag now, so hopefully the dawn raids will be over lol.:)
