The other eagle arrived to take over duties and the first flew off. It immediately started tending to something in the nest. Missed both the arrival of the 2nd one and departure of the 1st. :( New bald eagles nest, last year's destroyed by severe storms. At least one chick but didn't see it this time.
Spent a short time at Loess Bluffs Wildlife Refuge that has reopened after floods closed it for quite a while. Sorry for so many photo, just saving a handful. Most photos just not sharp, exposure and focus issues that morning.
from my Luis Royo inspired work, taken in december 2013

I've titled this 'proud' because this along with the next shot I'll get round to uploading on flickr they are the shots I've felt most proud of taking. This is one using my new lens. All I've changed post processing is the exposure, everything else is SOOC.
Best viewed bigger and on black if you have the time
Seen looking smart in Chipping Norton is a rather tidy example of a Solo SR. They are a very smart independent operator based in Gloucestershire, with both buses and coaches in their fleet.
Pulhams Coaches' YJ14 BWH is seen waiting time on West Street between runs on either the 606 or the X9. These services operate Monday - Saturday only. YJ14BWH was new in June 2014 as a part of an order of four Solo SRs for the operator. It is one of the two Optare Solo M790SE examples.

This proud tree is one of the most photographed in Cades Cove. I always admire this tree every time I am there. I am usually to tired to take pictures of it since it is near the end of the loop and i am usually on my way home and frustrated from sitting in traffic.

Proud, predatory, powerful... the feelings I get from this pose. The long claws and the way she carries the pose bring a lot, as you might expect from a model of her skill and experience. And yes, you saw another name before - see her post for the background on that.

This Helibore had its head up and I could not resist the chance to take a photo. Most flowers heads droop down.
Definition - proud,adj.
1. Feeling pleasurable satisfaction over an act, possession, quality, or relationship by which one measures one's stature or self-worth.

Position light signal bridges and non-stop traffic along the steel backbone of Pennsylvania remind us of the proud PRR lineage of today's Norfolk Southern. Here, loaded oil train 66W, behind 8102, grinds up the West Slope on Track 1 at Lilly, while an empty tank train descends the summit on Track 3.

At the boat junk yard again - there's so many great subjects to draw I can barely contain myself.
When Trump Radicals -- e.g. Proud Boys -- descended on DC to instigate violence and protest the election. There is a chapter towards the end of my photo book (please support it via geofflivingston.com) dedicated to this period when Trump and Republicans continued to try and steal the election. The best of these photos will likely be in it. Comment or give some sort of a reaction on the photos you think belong there.
Seen proudly in the sun is one of Redditch's most recently acquired Solos. The depot has a mix of SRs, and original examples, with some of the original ones being Cummins powered. Some of these are even branding for their Solihull Signature network.
Diamond's YJ60 KHB (20052) is seen at the Elm Drive stop on the Stratford Road, while returning to the depot, having formed the last X19 from Redditch towards Stratford. During the day, the X19 bypasses Great Alne and Haeslor, and as a result continues down the Stratford Road, passing here. The X19 is operated by Stagecoach Midlands Mon-Sun, with the exception of the last run in each direction (Mon-Sat only), which is instead operated by Diamond Bus. The route operates hourly (Mon-Sat) and 2 hourly on a Sunday. YJ60KHB was new in January 2011 to Regal Busways, Great Wakering, as their 210. It was initially transferred to Redditch to be used on the 53/65 services, which go down narrow roads, and so need a small, thin bus. However, nowadays it usually sees service on Stratford-upon-Avon contract services. It is an Optare Solo M780SE.
... In 2015, Diamond won a contract for some services in and around Stratford-upon-Avon, including the evening run on the X19. A part of this contract states that the vehicles used on it must be 10 plate or newer. However, on the evening of June 9th, Diamond sent this rather nice Ovlov out on the route instead. This keeps happening, where Diamond keep using older vehicles on the contract. The oldest I know of is PO54 NNM (30945).
As a side note, the driver of the bus is sound as a pound, and has since retired. He would always greet customers with a smile, and manners. While with Diamond, he was an absolute credit to them, and the whole of the Rotala PLC.
