This was taken at the mini Zoo at Darling Harbour during our holiday in Sydney. It was very dark in the area and I was glad I spotted this beautiful lizard just sitting very proudly. Due to very ill health it has taken me until now to be ready to post photos and feels really good to be getting back into photography.
Peacock!

From the OKC class again. He had so much fun on the first day he asked to come back the second day. So glad he did since we finally had time to get his shirt off to do a handheld shot! One proud Daddy with his little girl:)

This sparrowhawk was standing proud in the Autumn sunlight, just after this he took out a nuthatch, shame as they're not so common up here in Scotland! Guess he fancied a change of diet!

During the Bostonian Days, after the Blizzard 2013, there was few sunny days. USS Constitution museum was closed due to the blizzard and over the ticket office the little squirrel was there, warmed by the sun.
It's tough to stand out in a crowd in the streets of Miami, but it seemed pretty effortless for Mary. I'm not sure if it's the yellow vest or the fact that she's beautiful with an amazing smile, but most likely more B than A.
As soon as I asked Mary if I could take her picture, she enthusiastically said yes and went right into pose mode. What was I going to do, ask her NOT to smile? I didn't have the audacity.
Mary and some of her volunteer friends were out collecting and passing out literature for the International Rescue Commitee (rescue.org). Mind you it was 102 outside today. She was passing out literature, I was pretty much passing out. So yeah, I think she does have a lot to be proud of.
From the archives: Great Blue Heron shot at the Venice Rookery in Florida while visiting my dad. I haven't had much luck capturing images of Great Blue Heron's as they always seem to fly away as soon as I get my camera up to my eye. On this day, I managed to get a shot off before he flew away.
I can't believe the news! Helen and Dhirin have a new baby girl! She was born on July 6! Here's more from the zoo's blog including a video that makes me cry: blog.zoo.org/2017/07/baby-snow-leopard-instantly-improves...

This woman was one of the oldest women in her village, she was also one of the most stunning. She was not at all shy and gladly posed for a portrait.
My appreciation and thanks to all of you for your comments awards and faves.

There were about 2000 Long-tailed Ducks at the lift bridge yesterday. Very entertaining to watch at a close distance, although the light wasn't the best for photography. At one point a Coast Guard boat arrived off the lake and all 2000 birds took off in a spectacular departure. After the boat had passed the bridge they all returned.
