What is the difference between the transparency of space and the presence of place?

For months I have been studying and shooting the transparency of space like Stephen Shore. Then I was introduced to this cat Gruyaret and his compelling embracing of empty place.
This is supposed to get easier not harder !!!!
The relationship between the runner and that car are vital to the structure of the center stage. While the people and poles at the periphery are important in creating the gateway to the back of the picture.
Today I returned to the place that I spread my big boy Milo's ashes. In the week since we have experienced 14 inches of rain, a destructive east coast low we haven't since the likes of since in the 1990's and finally the huge swells from a cyclone just off our coast. Nobby's beach has changed dramatically in that time. I kind of think the Good Lord took Milo's ashes out to sea in a way I could not.
My garden is my refuge and my happy place. I love to get my hands dirty, pottering about, pulling weeds, trimming and pruning. And I do go a bit crazy with colour - none of your minimalist green garden for me! Roses and other cut flowers are a bonus. These “Double delight” roses are one of my all time favourites.

During my travels with my camera I've discovered al handful of spots that have morphed into what I call my "quiet places." In most cases, these are go-to spots for when I'm feeling in need of a little peace and quiet from this crazy world we live in. This spot along Dry Creek fits the bill.
The old bridge dates to the beginning of the 20th century and is used for cattle and pedestrians only--and there are very few of either around. The sunlight on the still water is quite conducive to meditative states. Another great spot to remove the shoes and dangle the feet.

Greestone Place is very small, quiet road that the Vicars Court is on, at Lincoln Cathedral. No through traffic, it is a cul-de-sac.
The only way to take a photo of the complete market place at Besigheim is a panorama. This panorama consists of 5 photos stitched together in Lightroom. The building in the middle is the townhall and probably the most famous building of Besigheim. The fountain is interesting too as it dates back to the early 16th century. It was decorated when I took this photo as it was Easter weekend.
