she's always been here
hiding inside the ridge lines
the origin
whose embrace
welcomes us home
one second at twilight
an icm image of my local ridge-line
some work with colour, levels, & a little dodge&burn
to bring out the forms (that I clearly saw in there :-)
and my usual something hidden in another layer ;-)
apologies.. I'm miles behind
catching up perpetually...

This was an unexpected little viewpoint hidden behind a hedgerow which I happened across whilst walking between Portinscale and Keswick in the Lake District.
I have no idea what they make at this place, but my thought was some up-sized moonshine distillery, or a meth lab. I think this was someplace between Raton and Las Vegas, New Mexico. For sure I-25 and northern New Mexico. I've kept a journal since 2009 with date, odometer, and nearest town. So for a picture like this that was taken in 2012, by the date & time of day it was taken, I can usually figure out roughly where I took the picture.
Continuing with Birds in the Rain, here's three female House Sparrows (Passer domesticus) sheltering under the leaves of a plant in a pot! Clever birds!
Photographed the Senator Place Apartments building from the Hollinger Park located in Tisdale Township in the City of Timmins in Northeastern Ontario Canada

What I have is right here
Spend my nights and days before
Searching the world for what's right here
Underneath and unexplored
Islands and cities I have looked
Here I saw
Something I couldn't overlook"

I've been messing around with different post processing techniques again and came across this video tutorial on youtube. Mingled with moody lighting, I was really pleased with the outcome from trying it out. I'd love your feedback below. ♥

The church yard of Ναός Αγίου Παντελεήμονα - St. Panteleimon (circa 1300), Thessaloniki, Greece. An oasis of quiet next to one of the busiest streets in the city.
