One last photo of Antony Gormley's "Another Place" installation on Crosby beach in Merseyside. I couldn't make my mind up yesterday whether the symmetrical or the off centre composition looked best so here's the centralised shot for comparison. It was taken around sunset. I can't help imagining how different these statues will look in stormy conditions, I should imagine they'll be even more dramatic. For now though, I'm glad I had chance to capture them looking so eerily serene and contemplative. I used a Kenkoo ND1000 filter for this photo.

This infra red photograph was taken late on an overcast afternoon which later produced an amazingly beautiful sunset. But the IR here really accentuates the almost ethereal presence of the place.

This was a place I had meant to go for a long time, and was excited after my first night in New Zealand to head to this lake in the hope for mirror still water for the reflections of this.
The added bonus of the birds sleeping in the trees, the mountains with snow and the clouds in the distance is a bonus.
I think next time i'll use a longer lens so the houses aren't included, but I like the really wide angle lens as it captures the rocks in the foreground and really helps to really show how beautiful and isolated this tree is.

There is much I could say about that day, the people we met, spoke with and listened to. But that is my story - and this is not the place for it.
