I love this spot. It’s 30mins from my house. I never see anyone there. The sound of the rushing water echoing off the walls of the gorge is instantly relaxing.

Thank you, dear friends, for visits, faves and comments!
one of my earliest memories was sitting here with my family and having an ice cream in the cafe, moving on 30 years and the budget for this beautiful place has been cut leaving the building go into disrepair. such a shame.
Blackpool has been home to the mill that shares its name since the 17th century. The present building has stood at this site since 1813. The mill was used as an iron furnace through to the 19th century. The mill continued in use right up until 1945 for grinding corn. Blackpool Mill was once open to the public but, as of summer 2013, the site remains shut until further notice.
Blackpool Bridge, to the east of the mill, is a Grade II listed bridge contructed around 1825 to cross the River Cleddau.
Sheltering in Place.
There had to be a hawk around my yard, but I could not see it, as everything was silent and there was not one squirrel or bird to be seen - except for this red-breasted nuthatch peering out absolutely motionless from between the branches.
After a few minutes the all clear was given and the birds and squirrels quickly reappeared.

The main square in the Moroccan imperial city of Meknes (the other 3 imperial cities being Fes, Marrakech and Rabat). Place el-Hedim is to Meknes what the Djemaa el-Fna square is to Marrakech - a place for daily street acts and performances, trading and dining.

There's so much pollution in the air now that if it weren't for our lungs there'd be no place to put it all.

"Dear" said Mr. Osprey, "I'm just going to hold your wing up here over my head so I can shelter in place while you go ahead and move that big stick wherever you want it"
"Sure," said Mrs. Osprey, "Go ahead, sit there on your butt and do nothing. Let me do all the heavy lifting!"

2 Peter 1:19 “And we have the prophetic word made surer, to which ye do well taking heed (as to a lamp shining in an obscure place) until the day dawn and the morning star arise in your hearts.”
One last photo of Antony Gormley's "Another Place" installation on Crosby beach in Merseyside. I couldn't make my mind up yesterday whether the symmetrical or the off centre composition looked best so here's the centralised shot for comparison. It was taken around sunset. I can't help imagining how different these statues will look in stormy conditions, I should imagine they'll be even more dramatic. For now though, I'm glad I had chance to capture them looking so eerily serene and contemplative. I used a Kenkoo ND1000 filter for this photo.
