A Corella having a quiet time in the trees around the Einbunpin lagoon in the Brisbane suburb of Sandgate. This is the relaxed look, a time to sharpen the beak by grinding. You can tell it's at peace, note the fluffed and ruffled feathers, particularly around the beak.
Peace is present right here and now, in ourselves and in everything we do and see. Every breath we take, every step we take, can be filled with peace, joy, and serenity.
The question is whether or not we are in touch with it. We need only to be awake, alive in the present moment.

The long journey to Indian Henry's Hunting Grounds is strenuous one. Several ridges must be climbed and for me this little scene came up a few moments after I realized that I still had one to go. I took in the cool breeze and cooled off with the cold water and accepted the mountains touching gesture. After sitting on a rock in the shade next to that water fall and stretching a bit I was rejuvenated knowing what waited on the other side.
I broke my cardinal rule yesterday, I posted that pick, got a glass of water and settled in to catch up here and the ills of the day caught up with me and grabbed my camera and headed out without viewing one shot. I'm going to catch up now, but if I missed something sweet due to the one pic a day thang, let me know.
This is Blueberry in one of the favorite cat baskets. It's musical chairs/baskets- even though we have LOTS of places for kitties to nap or hid- this one seems to be the favorite of many! Blue beat them to it today!
Blueberry is our 3 legged tuxedo. He lost his leg due to cancer of the foot a couple of years ago, but you would never know he only has 3 legs!

I always thrive on finding new locations and this photo says it all a beautiful Silver birch woodland on the eastern edges of the peak District. I don't often visit the east but i can be sure i definitely be going back.

In Cologne 250.000 people did not sing their carneval songs, but songs for peace, showing their solidarity with Ukraine !
