This photo, taken on our drive between Bergen and Lillehammer, came to mind for the theme of peaceful. The fjords, mountains and beauty of Norway were beyond measure. Would so highly recommend visiting Scandinavia.

Hey, guess who finally did some photography travelling after all this time? And hey, guess who managed to make it an absolute disaster like most times? Yes, me. Ugh. Let's just say - being dumped, coming off medication AND traveling whilst generally anxious doesn't make for a great time.

Anyway, I was out again! At least for one whole evening (don't ask). I found myself in the darkness of the Welsh village, Berriew. I don't think it would be one on most travellers' lists, but it's a pretty little place that was on our way to somewhere else. It seems to be known for this Tudor house that sits above a stream. I can see why - it was a pleasant place, calmed further by the persistent trickle of the water flowing by.

Peace Bridge is a pedestrian bridge, designed by Spanish architect Santiago Calatrava, that accommodates both pedestrians and cyclists crossing the Bow River in Calgary, Alberta, Canada. The bridge opened for use on March 24, 2012. It has the popular nickname "Finger Trap Bridge"

When the other birds were flying around, this one just stood there in the same position for a long time at the Tsawwassen Ferry Terminal. He looked so peaceful and relaxed.

Is he a Great blue heron?

Many thanks to all those who view, fav or comment my pictures. I very much appreciate it.

As long as we live in a dualistic world, the only way to end wars is through peace. Peace is also necessary to resolve this dualism—both on an individual and global level.

It’s difficult to live in peace when someone else doesn’t want it—but it’s possible—don’t let hatred win—no matter who it’s directed at—even your enemy. (You don’t have to love them right away, after all :)

Smoke more peace pipes and let a tree blossom in the desert :)

Work in progress.

I'm not sure where exactly to take this....

Comments welcome.

Thanks for looking

This is a world that needs more art, ideas, empathy, and peacefulness and less greed, weapons, and inaction when it matters most.

It is unbearably sad how this world just destroys itself and again innocent random people so senseless be killed around the world, today my thoughts are with the victims and the injured, as well as all the emergency services and helpers in Munich :-(

Genesis 8:6-12 6

After forty days Noah opened a window he had made in the ark and sent out a raven, and it kept flying back and forth until the water had dried up from the earth.

Then he sent out a dove to see if the water had receded from the surface of the ground. But the dove could find nowhere to perch because there was water over all the surface of the earth; so it returned to Noah in the ark. He reached out his hand and took the dove and brought it back to himself in the ark. He waited seven more days and again sent out the dove from the ark.

When the dove returned to him in the evening, there in its beak was a freshly plucked olive leaf! Then Noah knew that the water had receded from the earth.

For all those who gave so much , have we learnt nothing ?

Seek peace within yourself, than go out into the world and see it through your new eyes.

Then I think that we'll enjoy our lives in a different way, and also find what really matters for us🙏

Peace

Although Mourning Doves are often the symbol for peace, they can be quite aggressive around feeders.

This morning before dawn while driving to Bombay Hook I hit something, possibly some re-bar, causing a catastrophic blowout and destroying two tires and a wheel.

I got a major scare, but am fine, but I am grounded for the next few days until my car is fixed, so I will be posting birds from my yard.
