Before we had to fence our backyard in order to adopt our dog, Emmy, I had a love/hate relationship with deer. The deer in our neighborhood viewed our backyard as a haven with the added benefit of gourmet dining.
It was lovely to look out my window and see one peacefully sleeping in my garden. However, I didn't like how they destroyed my garden - aargh! Anyway, the fence solved the whole issue, but at times I still miss seeing them.
"Give me love, give me peace on earth, give me light, give me life." ~ George Harrison
“I speak of peace, therefore, as the necessary rational end of rational men. I realize the pursuit of peace is not as dramatic as the pursuit of war… But we have no more urgent task.”
- John F. Kennedy
The Peace Angel dedicated to the Vickery family 1970 can be found in St Mary’s Old Basing, a village on the outskirts of Basingstoke. JOHN Hayward is the artist. I think it is a beautiful piece and at times like this I want to concentrate my thoughts on the need for peace in our world.
Sorry I haven't been around much lately and it will be another couple of weeks before I can return to flickr.
I hope everybody is doing well. Take care
Happy Friday and have a fantastic weekend!
"Peace" - Li Tien Min
"No matter who you are,
man, woman,
old or child,
worker or farmer,
soldier, student or merchant;
no matter what your political

if you are asked what is
the most important thing
for humanity,
answer
first and always:
peace!

peace and happiness are the nature of your being and you share your being with everyone and everything.
The 'Spirit of Peace' hybrid tea-rose. A Meilland rose.
‘Spirit of Peace’ was released by Meilland International of France in 1995, to celebrate the 50th Anniversary of the release of the famous 'Peace' rose and mark the anniversary of the end of World War Two.
Amazingly, South Australia, of all places, was chosen as the location to release this beautiful rose to the world.

We seem to be getting dangerously close to world war! Is it worth it???? Do you have any idea how many people lose everything and are left in complete and utter misery? Why can we not find a way to sit down and discuss our situation, without the power of money and greed? It is beyond time to find a solution and if we don't we have no-one to blame other than ourselves!!
Thank you for your kind visit. Have a wonderful and beautiful day! ❤️ ❤️ ❤️
Now that the Jubilee four day holiday is over, things can get back to normal - not that the ponies would ever notice the difference
Doves are often seen as a sign of peace and hope. This week I watched a Mourning Dove start to build a nest in the cedars in our backyard. I had to take the picture through our patio window so I did not scare the pair off. The male brings the materials to the female who actually builds the nest. In these times, I am taking this as sign of hope and renewal in our world. I wish much peace to everyone on this Easter Weekend.
