Ancient Aliens Patches is a small project to create a limited collection of badges inspired by supposed original Mayan archeological finds. I love ancestral cultures, as the Mayan, and science fiction books and films, so this Ancient Aliens Patches are the perfect mix of both.
Sometimes I feel like I don't belong on this planet. Actually, many times and for many reasons, and I'm sure you too. It’s not just a question of being different but you really are, each of us is unique. Each one in its own way is special. So I decided to design and produce these identificative patches, thinking about all those people who sometimes feel out of place, that they are not like the others and hope someday to return to their true home, with their own.
I believe we are not alone in the universe, so I will be waiting for my friends from the stars to come and pick me up soon or late.
These are iron patches. I am not sure where you were expected to put these. I got to dress up like Grimace for the store opening. My Dad ran the first McDonalds in Newfoundland in 1977. This is a promotional item from then.
Crazy patches, piano key borders and decorative stitches embellishing the pram cover. Entire quilt made from leftovers, nothing bought specially for it !! Just the binding to go on now.

Curating!
I had BTVATD's latest album on repeat, too. Gorgeous. <3
I was pretty grumpy through morris, which isn't the cure. But sometimes it has to be done.

Note the small white dot at the top edge, above the head of the photographer. This is my first experience of a true pinhole: all that I've seen in the past were actually cracks in the rubber coating of the curtain, where light bleeding through between the strands of the fabric gave the appearance of small holes. Not so in this case, the curtain seems to be in quite good condition, and this one spot looks as though someone had pushed a sewing needle through the curtain. Once I realized from these negatives that it was there, it was easy to locate and patch the hole.

Finally SimCity is starting to feel like it should with Patch 7.0 introducing traffic fixes and a bridge/tunnel tool.
I finally have a 100K population city without a traffic jam going in/out!
This plant is used in Asian cooking to flavor rice and add colour to recipes. My boss uses this to make a very special green cake.
During our recent stay in Mexico's Sian Ka'an biosphere reserve we spent everyday exploring the rich marine ecosystems of the Caribbean. We would set out mid-morning and not return till sunset, often spending eight or more hours in the water.
To reach the reef we had to traverse vast expanses of grass flats. One of the most incredible encounters within this sea of grasses are the random patches of small reef and coral heads. These micro habitats always seem to provide shelter to an impressive assortment of fish and invertebrates and often in a density much higher than average along larger sections of reef.
At first we thought the long swim across the grass flats would be fraught with the anticipation of reaching the reef but in fact we found ourselves spending much time just drifting along the flats looking for these wonderful patch reefs. Eager to discover the many secrets they possessed.
Taken in 2005, Patch, our late Jack Russell is just getting to grips with photography. She insists on natural light without flash, and a tripod for steady blur-free pictures.... hee hee.
Patch all grown up and posing by the plant he was just eating. ;-)
He was born in a storage shed on the Continental Machines property in Savage, Minnesota (home of the legendary horse Dan Patch, world pacing record holder for over 50 years - hence his name!) We rescued the whole litter (except for two that had disappeared before they were old enough to take) before winter set in, and all found homes, though they had to be bottle fed for a few weeks. He's a gem. He's gotta have Maine Coon in him!
Little patches for you to use how you require, decoupage, applique, quilting, embellishments, card making, lots of different uses, including lavender bags and pin cusions too. Available to buy here www.spoonflower.com/fabric/1357126
Patches on my daughter's travelin' pants, de rigeur for train hoppers. Torn and worn out, the pants themselves should have been retired a long time ago, but in the past year have been fortified by a few dozen handsewn patches she's picked up from all over the U.S. Sewn with dental floss, of course. This week, on the night before she left at 1:30AM, I got the chance to shoot the textural hodgepodge. More images to be posed soon.
