It's really hard to take pictures of chickens since they're constantly moving. However, with the help of a quick lens, I was able to take advantage of their curiosity in this shot.

This photo contrasts from the others I'm submitting because the focused field of the frame is a stark contrast from the background, unlike the other photos which fade from focused to unfocused. The black contrasts well with the light background, and the print on the lens as well as the reflection from the glass are all fairly sharp. In the future, I would like to try the composition of this photo again with a higher f/stop. In the background, I had positioned a pen and notepad, hoping to capture the concept of the composition of creative expression in several mediums, but with such a shallow depth of field all of the components of the photo can't quite come through.

I have this photo flipped on my flicker account, however when I rotate it in the email it distorts the photo.
In this photo I focused on the first rose bouquet, and had the second one as well as the large picture on the wall in the background.

The greater wing coverts have been dropped, thereby exposing the white base of the secondaries. The dark first-generation lesser wing coverts create a dark carpal bar. P1-P3 are new and fully grown, P4 is almost fully grown, P5 is growing, P6 has been dropped. The bill is dull orange with a black tip.

De grote dekveren missen waardoor de witte basis van de onderliggende armpennen goed zichtbaar is. De donkere eerste-generatie kleine dekveren creëeren een donkere armbaan. P1 t/m P3 zijn nieuw en volgroeid, P4 is 3/4 volgroeid, P5 is groeiende, P6 mist. De snavel is dof oranje met een zwarte punt.

I was trying to take a photo with a shallow depth of field, and I applied the rule of thirds by having the subject to the left of the center.
My intent with this photo was to capture the tennis ball on the corner of the baseline and have the expanse behind the ball be blurry.

For this, I was at Ohio Stadium. I was walking back to my car and I saw the sun setting onto the buildings, I really liked the orange/red color it casted onto the parking garage. I thought this felt urban by getting the treetops at the bottom of the photo. For editing, I edited all of these in Lightroom with a preset I have, it gave it more of a natural and smooth tone, while still being able to tell that it's during sunset/night.
I thought these shots at OSU represented urban because there weren't as many buildings as there would be fully downtown.
(So for my project, I went downtown to OSU and walked around for a couple of shots then I went to Old Hilliard and did some too.)

P7 mist, P8, P9 en P10 zijn nog niet geruid. Door de ontbrekende grote vleugeldekveren is de witte basis van de handpennen goed te zien.
