From a sunrise shoot at Newcastle Beach with friend and Flickr photographer Archie McCafferty yesterday.
No clouds turned up so we had to make the most of some fairly bland conditions.

When Francis and Clare gazed at an object, they absorbed it in ways unrealized even among religious people today; love came in at the eye. I posted an image of this overflow earlier but I thought that despite the burnt out water this aerial image was also worth posting. This overspill is where excess water in the Grand Union Canal / Grand Junction Canal drains into the River Colne near Harefield.

Taken from the rather wet and muddy public footpath which descends at the side of the dam, to the bottom and then back up the other side. Or, if you don’t want to go back up and walk along the wall, you can take the path by the side of the river along towards the village. The recent storms, Ciara and Dennis have resulted in the massive overflow of water, the path has taken a beating too, much of it has been washed away and the wooden fencing blown over. It’s also rather damp in the bottom with all the spray from the water. I did notice though, more or less centre picture, some pink flowers just starting to bloom on a Rhododendron bush, they are out very early this year.

The Oester reservoir, built by Professor Otto Intze at the beginning of the 20th century, overflows with abundant water from melting snow in the Ebbe Mountains.

We shot a lot of fantastic waterfalls in Oregon's Colombia Gorge. It was an amazing location & a nice learning experience as well. So many images to sort through :)
This shot was at a stop on the way home yesterday. A real hidden gem.!
