I finally made it down the trail to the main falls without any more distractions. I always forget how many boulders you must climb down to get to the main falls. With all the issues I had last year with my leg and foot, I went extra slow today. The flow was heavy but within reason, but it would be nice if we had some green on the trees to incorporate in the scene. I will have to wait about a Month for that to happen. The flow was a little too much for detail shots, so I took the first obligatory shot, then looked for a few more angles.
Thanks to a clogged drainage culvert, the rising waters of Crescent Lake are now overflowing the dock and encroaching on the backyard.

With the snow melting, this little creek was overflowing.

Happy Friday to all! Thanks for all your views, faves, comments and invitations!
Craig Goch reservoir, Elan valley. The reservoirs overflow fairly often most winters, but this was a rarer example of overflowing in the summer (August 2020).

I’ve been to the Pontsticill Reservoir in Wales, with it’s picturesque valve tower, quite a few times but never when the water was high enough to overflow into the bellmouth. Well, this box can be ticked now. I will also remember this day for permanently wiping lenses and filters in the mixture of fog and rain. Not sure, if the conditions could be any trickier.
What do you guys use to keep the glass dry and clean in such damp conditions?
A Common resident duck found throughout the year in the subcontinent. They are large ducks and make for wonderful target practice for shooting birds in flight.
I think this is the breeding season and hence we could hear their calls quite often. Due to rains, there are few shallow lakes in our region now. Most of them are filled up / overflowing which makes them unsuitable for ducks or waders. I wonder how these ducks will manage their chicks when food becomes a problem in these deeper lakes.
This one is a male as noted by the bright red patch on the forehead above its beak. The females lack this red patch.
Thanks in advance for your views and feedback.
After many years of photographing the Lake District and Yorkshire Dales, I have finally realised that there are many stunning photographic opportunities right at my doorstep - you have probably noticed the change in direction lately. This weir on the River Caldew, for example, is only 5 minutes walk from my house in Denton Holme, Carlisle.

Waves come in and fill the tide pool, then flow back out, keeping the pool alive.
At my favorite place on the California coast, Pescadero State Beach.
As this photo was taken Hurricane Hanna was coming ashore well southwest in Texas. Nevertheless the accompanying rains have overfilled nearby Double Lake. An overflowing weir makes for good fishing, this Snowy Egret (Egretta thula) among the interested. Sugar Land, Texas.
A quick few shots with the rain beating down on me,I could not call this an artistic shot in any way more a reportage kind of shot to add to my rain soaked mini series.
This is the River Adur up between Partridge Green and Ashurst, it has overflowed it`s banks flooding nearby farmland along a long stretch, you can see the direction sign for Henfield which should be high and dry on the river bank .
The Ladybower Reservoir overflow or plughole as the locals call it.
Ladybower Reservoir is a large Y-shaped reservoir, the lowest of three in the Upper Derwent Valley in Derbyshire, England. The River Ashop flows into the reservoir from the west; the River Derwent flows south, initially through Howden Reservoir, then Derwent Reservoir, and finally through Ladybower Reservoir.
