The fragrance of these flowers was so sweet, like honeysuckle, but not. I loved the way they smelled and I hope someone will be able to tell me what they are. They are growing on a bush on the side of the road near an object I stopped to take a photo of for today's POD. The scent of these caught my attention instead. I took the other photo but I'm not pleased with it so I will attempt it another day. So glad God slowed me down enough to stop and smell these flowers. Mac Davis sure knew what he was talking about when he wrote one of my favorite songs (I know he refers to roses, but tonight I prefer to think he was referring to my newfound favorite):
Did you ever take a walk through the forest
Stop and dream a while among the trees
Well you can look up through the leaves right straight to heaven
You can almost hear the voice of God
