Attempting to achieve perfection is often the major setup for failure and ultimately shame. But the truth is, nothing and nobody is perfect. Recovering from shame means breaking the cycle of perfectionism. We have to stop people pleasing and learn to become more vulnerable. Vulnerable in becoming authentic. Vulnerable in having the courage to be imperfect. When we can do this, we will have a greater sense of accepting ourselves and believing that we’re enough. On July 29, DAV hosted inaugural Day of Inspiration in Tampa, Florida, ahead of the 2021 DAV and Auxiliary National Convention. Veterans and active military members in the Tampa area and beyond were invited to participate in a free, one-day event to hear from nationally recognized speakers who delivered powerful stories throughout the day.

Another older photo. With winter comes short days where I drive to work in the dark and arrive home in the dark...so, not much photography happening right now. Basically, daylight savings time didn't really save me any daylight, and now I wonder why it exists.

Overcoming a double-digit deficit, the top-seeded University of Wisconsin-Parkside men's basketball squad tallied its first NCAA Division II Tournament victory in program history on Saturday evening, pleasing the home crowd inside DeSimone Gymnasium with a 74-65 win over eighth-seeded Kentucky Wesleyan College.
This is what we did today, drove in circles and looked for broken houses. It was fun, we haven't been able to get out for a while. Love being outside and driving.
