I couldn't decide if I should save this one for "Bench Monday" or use it "Fence Friday". This is from the Gruene historical district. Such a pretty area. Looking at this image makes me want to go back and visit it

The sculpture is by Charles Umlauf and can be seen in the Umlauf Sculpture Garden in Austin.

I thought I had already posted this one but I couldn't find it in my stream, so here it is..;)

The photo shoots went well. We had a mystical camera problem, which seem to fix itself after about 20 minutes. Since the people were drinking no one seem to care and we made sure to leave as the people were leaving the funny stage and entering the ugly stage of drinking..;)

Hope everyone has a great week

Went shopping with my friend, Deepa. Right behind the restaurant is this park, which you can see while you're eating, so we walked down to the creek for a little relaxation after dinner.

Taken near Pokhara in Nepal.

Another photo taken from Tunnel View with that redbud bush in the foreground. This one was taken from the overflow parking lot above the road.

HWW!!

This is the Austonian at 200 Congress Ave. here in Austin. This place is amazing. It has 56 floors and the average price is 800 dollars a square foot. Which means, the smallest unit goes for about a million dollars.

Placed in southeast of Sao Vicente island, one of the very first cities of Brazil, Porchat island is a pseudo island due to the fact that only in the high tide it is completely surrounded by water. This is well known due to its dancing clubs and a rich casino, which is no longer opened because of recent Brazilian restrictions on gambling businesses.

This image was taken from the top of Porchat Island toward to Sao Vicente Island, just before a morning storm, where the buildings are seeing in the background and smaller islands appear in the left and far right.

on a sunny autumn afternoon on the river Moselle. Beilstein is called the "Cinderella of the Moselle" because of its location and the winding streets .

an einem sonnigen Herbst-Nachmittag an der Mosel. Beilstein wird wegen seiner Lage und den verwinkelten Gassen das "Dornröschen der Mosel" genannt.

An eastbound Burlington Northern Santa Fe freight climbs Tehachapi Pass at Cable, California, on March 7, 2001. Warbonnet GE Dash 9 No. 681 still looks good, and the locomotive consists back then were pretty colorful too.

This was taken through the window of the Dorval Library while I was visiting with a friend. I was amused by this squirrel searching for his food in the deep snow outside.

Friends of Schiller and Wilhelm Tell will forgive me please for borrowing this famous phrase for my title, but it was immediately present in my mind when I saw this rock gate on a single lane road with traffic from both sides ...

this scenario greets the visitor of Henningsvaer on the Lofoten islands who is chancing along this winding road to get to this spot that had been isolated from the outside world for centuries, only being reachable by boat. Nowadays there is thriving tourism in Henningsvaer and the lovely old fishing village is changing ... you can't get one without the other :(

I was coming back from Dry Island Buffalo Jump Provincial Park early one Saturday morning when I came across this pond. With no cover around I managed to scare off all the water fowl around. I then waited for the stillness of the pond. We sure do get some amazing skies in Alberta.

Today the snow came at last. One whole centimeter :) This photo is from the beginning of last year. The light that illuminates the trees comes from the moon. It is taken in the Glaskogen nature reservation outside Arvika in Sweden.

I'm a little behind when it comes to processing my holiday pictures from last summer. I uploaded some of them already. Now is the perfect time for continuing with the processing, with rainy days and no snow, and not much opportunitues to take photos outside.

Truely one of the Wonders of the World, the Grand Canyon, its just awesome, breathtaking, stunning! Really need some time to come here and explore, a day trip from Las Vegas really does not do it justice. In the words of a famous actor 'I will be back!'

Another tough winter here..;) I was up on a ridge overlooking this farm and I spotted the fence..:) It was almost out of my zoom range.

Hope your weekend goes well. Going to a live concert tomorrow night and hiking on Sunday

From Cape Farewell Lighthouse I could see the vales fill with mist as the sun rose. I was a bit quicker down the track to get some photos in my favourite conditions!

Thanks very much for your wonderful comments!
