This view was taken inside the Vatnajökull National Park as we have been approaching SvÃnafellsjökull, one of the glaciers offering numerous opportunities for hiking.
That windsurfer over there was having a blast for sure, but the morning cold wind was cutting my ears.
The mallards well, they just don't care.

This is Alnwick Castle in Northumbria. It featured in a recent BBC painting competition and the location looked so beatiful on television. It is a 3 hour drive from my house, so I checked the weather and my ephermeris before setiing the alarm clock for stupid o'clock. I am so pleased I done it though.
There has been a castle on this site for over 1,000 years and this was built following the Norman Conquest. It remains the home of the Duke if Northumberland.
You can find out more about the castle on: www.alnwickcastle.com/explore/history
I trekked down to Laguna Beach this evening in hopes of catching some cloud coverage, but alas it wasn't meant to be. The tide was at its lowest level exposing this crevice. I climbed down in and setup my comp over the water. It wasn't until I returned home and started processing that I noticed this little fella hiding in the shadows. No photoshop trickery here this is the actual photo with minor processing. The hair stood up on the back of my neck momentarily when I noticed him there on the right side my composition.

Sissy's Dog House at 126 Oak Dr. in Wimberley, Texas.
I couldn't find out much information on this place. Guess I should have gone inside..:) The fence is a lot like that Indian restaurant I posted in here several months ago.
The weather man is saying we're going to get hammered with rain. Like serious flooding. I'm on high ground so I'll be safe.
Another photo of a seagull on the frozen lake near my home.
This is a big crop of the center of the photo.
This photo has been done on the other side of the lake, and you can see a little island behind the seagull.

Winter, meine liebste Jahreszeit; aber nur, wenn es draußen so aussieht :)
Winter, my favorite season; but only if it looks outside like this :)
Temple Concord's roots reach back over one hundred years to the first Jewish organization in this area. The original Jewish settlers in Binghamton organized the Hebrew Benevolent Society, founded in 1862. Subsequently, they created a number of Jewish organizations and religious societies. Temple Concord was incorporated in November, 1950, and in February 1951 regular services were instituted in the Kilmer Mansion. The historic mansion now houses our Hebrew and Judaic schools as well as a library.

The great horned owl (Bubo virginianus), also known as the tiger owl or the hoot owl, is a large owl native to the Americas. It is an extremely adaptable bird with a vast range and is the most widely distributed true owl in the Americas. Its primary diet appears to be rabbits and hares, rats and mice and voles, although it freely hunts any animal it can overtake, primarily other rodents and small mammals, but also larger mid-sized mammals, various birds, reptiles, amphibians and invertebrates.
Just a whisper of the wind in the cool air,
I came to a pond, all clear and blue,
As I sit close to the water with fresh air all around,
The calmness was still, not even a sound.
The contentment feeling, overwhelming, as I walked away.
