Liu Fang Yuan, the Garden of Flowing Fragrance, is one of the largest Chinese gardens
outside China. Designed to create, preserve, and promote the rich and complex traditions of Chinese
culture, this authentic garden is a special place for visitors to feel inspired by the elegant harmony
of nature and poetry. Thanks to visionary landscape architects and artisans from China and the
United States, inspired historians, expert gardeners, and generous benefactors, Liu Fang Yuan
reflects today an exceptional combination of learning and beauty.
A Chinese garden is often compared to a work of art: It is like a scroll painting composed of carefully arranged scenes. As you stroll through the pathways and pavilions of Liu Fang Yuan, new vistas are revealed as if a scroll were being slowly unrolled. In the garden, as in a painting, several key elements play an important part in creating balance, meaning, and beauty in the composition.

I took a friend of mine over to Temple, Texas which, is about 75 miles north of Austin, for an outpatient surgery. And while I was waiting for my I drove around town and spotted this Railroad and Heritage Museum. There were lots of interesting thing to see and shoot..:) Here's more info if you interested
Completed in 1911, the historic Santa Fe Depot houses the Temple Railroad and Heritage Museum and a working Amtrak Station. The Temple, Texas museum explores the history of the railroad and topics relating to local and regional history. The museum also regularly hosts changing temporary exhibits and educational programming. The museum’s collection of railroad equipment is displayed on the grounds, including three locomotives, railroad passenger cars, and cabooses on static display. Restoration work on this rolling stock collection is ongoing. The Santa Fe Depot is located next to an active railroad yard, where railfans can observe daily operations and traffic of the BNSF and Amtrak.

It was cold and snowing slightly when I found this buck today. He was standing outside a church looking in the window as if to say, "Invite me in and I'll be your friend." ... I would have if I could have!

Amanecer en la pequeña localidad de Maruri. precioso y con una niebla envolvente.
Sunrise in the small village of Maruri. beautiful with an enveloping fog.
The morning fog had burned off the valley as I headed east on CA 58 towards Tehachapi, Bakersfield behind me. I wasn't sure how this would come out, the sun was above and directly in front of me, so bumped up the contrast and used my slightly tented windshield and fast shutter to reduce the brightness. Also luck to find one of the few spots on this steep climb big enough to pull my rig off the roadway.
We got our first snowfall yesterday so I went out to the back yard to play, but just for a few minutes because it was so cold! We aren't used to this kind of weather in Vancouver, and apparently there's more to come. What to do but photography and try to stay warm.
I just want to let you know how much I appreciate all of you and your visits and kind comments on my images. All my wonderful friends here on Flickr have turned my world around - thank you!

Don't look too closely, because there is camera shake in this photo..it was REALLY windy! I tried to correct some of the blurry edges in PS because I like the scene with the interesting sky and colors. Also I blended two photos, one exposed for that light patch in the sky so that one didn't have the camera shake. AND I cloned out the raindrops from the front of my lenses. So far from a "good" photo but I still like it. Hopefully you are only looking on your phone LOL
There was a lot of fog around the Snake River Overlook in Grand Teton National Park. Fortunately it began to clear as the light descended on the peaks.

Feliz semana queridos amigos!!
