I was pleasantly surprised with an early moonrise while taking an early evening stroll with the kids at the little pond by our house. I discovered it was actually considered a Hunter's Moon. The Hunter's Moon is the full moon after the Harvest Moon, and is characterized by an early evening moonrise, rising as the sun sets. Here, the sun just set, I turned to take a pic, and there was the moon...surprise! ;-)

Hope everyone is having a wonderful Sunday. Enjoy the rest of your weekend, my friends :-)

Lake Powell is a reservoir on the Colorado River, between Utah and Arizona. It is a major vacation spot with 2 million visitors per year. It is the second largest man-made reservoir by maximum water capacity in the United States. It was created by the flooding of Glen Canyon by the Glen Canyon Dam. The reservoir is named for explorer John Wesley Powell, an American Civil War veteran who explored the river via three wooden boats in 1869.

Midnight, full moon and minus 28 degrees C. While visiting my brother`s place last winter.

October was the rainiest month in history in the Seattle area, which created a huge volume of turbulent water to roar down the falls.

Snoqualmie Falls is 270 feet tall and anywhere from 50 -150 feet wide. On this day it sure was at it's maximum width. The building at the top is the Salish Lodge, formerly the Snoqualmie Falls Lodge, famous for it's breakfasts.

Took it at the trout lake too during the leave still there. Have a great week ahead! 鱒魚湖的平靜湖面造就了一幅秋景

Hiking the trails on Mt. Rainier on a foggy day.

You can't see the mountain, but oh, the fall colors are magnificent.

Both the summer flowers and the autumn foliage just look so alive and saturated on a foggy day.

I don't usually have animals in my images. But, the dog was there to guard the herd and wouldn't get out of the frame..:) These yellow wildflowers are everywhere right now and they are so pretty.

Winter season definitely not a good time for baseball, some small snow make the field looks different. 我家旁邊中學的棒球場,冬天有幾分蕭瑟....

Loch Linnhe near Port Appin in Argyll and Bute. Castle Stalker is in the distance in the middle of the shot. It is built on a small island on Loch Laich, an inlet off Loch Linnhe .

The original castle was a small fort, built around 1320 by Clan McDougall. Around 1388 the Stewarts took over the Lordship of Lorn, and it is believed that they built the castle in its present form around the 1440s.

Castle Stalker is now in private ownership and is open to the public at selected times during the summer.
