These photos were taken in the area of Longreach. The Outback is the vast, remote, arid area of Australia, although the term colloquially can refer to any lands outside the main urban areas. It is, in fact, a vast area that has a wide variety of wildlife in it.

Camooweal is a village on the Barkly Highway in west Queensland situated about 1130km southeast of Darwin Camooweal has a population of around 240 and is one of the smaller towns in Australia.

Beaucoup de ces terres sont la propriété d'éleveurs de moutons ou de boeufs. Chaque propriété est immense car la végétation y est extrêmement clairsemée. Les animaux doivent couvrir un vaste territoire afin de se nourrir.

Even though the track to Chamber’s Pillar was rough in places, some of the beautiful outback scenery was never far away to take your mind off the corrugations. This stand of desert oaks just screamed out “photograph me” – so I did, lol.
