A female Spinybacked Orbweaver (Gasteracantha Cancriformis) at rest in a web she spun on my porch. This is the underside of the spider, whose diameter is about 1cm (0.5”).

A Savannah Sparrow rests and seems to have a little growth just beside beak, it wasn't hindering it from feeding or singing
…… One from the shoreline of Derwent water - drunk a gallon or two from the lake in its time this beauty! Did you know that a mature tree will drink 11,000 gallons of water a year!!! (SEE LINK BELOW) Is that not a good reason to plant more?!? Happy tree Tuesday to all on Flickr, Alan:-) HTMT.…….

I went out early at about 0330 Hrs. to get some star shots.
My intention was shoot directly westward to get star trails leading in 3 different directions. I could not get around to my left far enough as I was right up against the fence line for this lone tree on the hill.
It all sounded good in theory looking at the map but the end result was not as planned..
This is 350 shots each 6 seconds at 112mm, 1600 ISO, f/4.0 and an interval of 10 seconds between each shot.
The tree is 200metres away.
A wider angle would have been better but the tree would become lost in the scene.
I will have to find a better suited tree tree.
Years ago, I randomly took a photo of a passing streetcar in Toronto from about 30 metres away. When i got home, I zoomed in on the streetcar windows and found this hauntingly beautiful face looking out. From then on, I've continued this fascinating photo technique. One never knows who will show up. Strangely, out of all the streetcar window photos I've done, this is my favourite.
