More practice with reflections and highlights today. I need to put together a kit of items for food. I struggled to balance the apple with the knife and I was worried about it falling off the table and onto my foot. Therefore, I couldn't show the whole apple or it would reveal my crazy prop system. Any tips or ideas on how to prop is always appreciated. Thanks in advance for your help and comments!
It never ceases to amaze me the control birds have over their feathers and how different they can look when they engage the tiny muscles that make them stand out. Red-bellied Woodpecker seen out in the woods at the Rocky River Reservation Metro Park.
Took this from the balcony just about an hour ago. The copter circled her a couple of times before flying north.

unfortunately
This tri-colored heron appears to be standing at attention here as it dries out on a perch in the Merritt Island National Wildlife Refuge.
This song sparrow was singing away along the path, but as I approached, it darted to a tree off the trail. I didn't mind, as it made a better perch than the metal fence post it'd been on before!
