Tonight was kind of crazy, I went to visit my old boss at the Hayloft and ended up locking my keys in the car and having to wait for over an hour for the cops to unlock it. Then afterwords I headed over to my friend Ted's house to do some shots of his band. I had a blast and I love the way these turned out. I <3 my new lighting! Let my know what you think, and check out the band! www.myspace.com/liveitoutmusic
While driving out in the country of Milton area I came across these beauties grazing in the field. Horses are my favorite animal.....their strength, beauty, and grace will always warm my heart.

~~~~~~~~ Big Florida Birds - In The Wild ~~~~~~~~~~
The wood stork is a large American wading bird in the stork family. It appears all white on the ground, with blackish-gray legs and pink feet. In flight, the trailing edge of the wings is black. The head is dark brown with a bald, black face, and the thick down-curved bill is dusky yellow. Juvenile birds are a duller version of the adult, generally browner on the neck, and with a paler bill. The bare head and the long bill, which can measure up to ten inches in length, render the wood stork distinctive from other large waders in its range.
WEEK 10 – S Perkins Kroger Revisited, Part II
Had to get really close to the produce coolers on the side wall to get this shot: the angled sign placement probably helps to advertise “farm fresh produce” to customers who might otherwise overlook this nook-like area, but keeps the department icon in the dark, metaphorically speaking. Realistically speaking, it's too much in the light: the sun from those windows has made these stickers peel the worst out of all of the ones in the store! Here's a shot of the other side of this wall from my blog post.
These places are public so these photos are too, but just as I tell where they came from, I'd appreciate if you'd say who :)
On my way from Ocean Springs to Laurel, I stopped at one of my favorite swamps to stretch my legs. It was miserably hot and humid, but as I eased around the edge of the swamp, I saw dozens of egrets, herons and cranes in the distance. I couldn't get any closer and my 300mm just lacked the reach to get tighter shots. I count at least 4 species, including a couple of spoon bills, rare in these parts. I'll be sure to visit again Sunday on my return trip with 1000mm lens and tripod. Stay tuned...
UPDATE - SUNDAY: It was raining hard, so I was not able to revisit the swamp. Maybe another day.
Road Trains parked outside the Noccundra Hotel in far western Queensland's Channel County as the sun sunk into the horizons. Truckies taking a break with a barbecue cook up in the back so as not to drive into the sun.
Had to drive into Noccundra extra ks off the track, as we were concerned with fuel availability further on, Thargomindah beforehand had sold out but managed to get another business under protest to open and was concerned with the availability of fuel at Innaminka, had rung Noccundra and first told me they had no fuel a bit of talking from a country girl and they did have a bit and was calculating that if filled in Noccundra could make it across the desert into South Australia with the long range tanks and the extra carried. As it turned out no problem with fuel availability at Innaminka. Fuel availability was sometimes of a concern as when traveling south from the NT many many travelers were stranded at a roadhouse until the tankers arrived and their time of arrival was unknown, hours, a day? Another concern was the different composition of fuel in the Centre and was loathe to put a different fuel into my 4WD not knowing the effects. Local law in some regions forbids the use of unleaded fuel and a fuel substitute is used to fire up the local machines.
I think there was a tag game on this going around a while back, but I can't find any evidence of it.
Diana hasn't really been out since she got married, so Natalia (new Andy Warhol *yay*) and her sister Phoebe thought it would a good idea to have a girls night out while Liam was away on a business trip. It was Phoebe's idea to go to a party being thrown by Cyndi Lauper.
