At Oakland Chinatown StreetFest

That's Jim at Cape Disappointment State Park in Washington State.

There's a working farm at Häringe Slott. The surroundings are part of the Hammersta Häringe nature reserve, so it is always open for the public. There were a few people out and about during my visit yesterday.

GMRC 263 attacks the grade out of Rutland as they climb over the mountains towards Bellows Falls, seen here at a signature bridge in Cuttingsville.

Yesterday was one of those great midwestern days, with snow, sleet, rain, and a minor ice storm. And thunder.

But morning brought blue skies and sunlight on the melting ice.

Sometimes, you need a break, go to a place you love, to get away from everything. Here are some school girls enjoying themselves on a school picnic. They were celebrating their trip, celebrating their friendship. I took this picture few days ago, at Victoria Memorial Ground in Kolkata. Their school uniform looks so beautiful, one girl wearing a red dress are the break here and the famous Victoria Memorial Hall stands tall in the background.

The Aurora in Iceland last night. The tail-lights from my truck added some red color to the house... and made it even more out of space :)

You came to me from out of nowhere,

you took my heart and found it free.

Wonderful dreams, wonderful schemes from

nowhere, made every hour sweet as a flower for me.

If you should go back to your nowhere,

leaving me with a memory,

I'll always wait for your return out of nowhere,

hoping you'll bring your love to me.

needs no description.

shouldn't we stay together

we can work it out

are there any changes coming

sure i'd love to change it all

A single tree in the snow from Sunday afternoon near Rhylandfair.

This little Downy Woodpecker was having a feast on a flower stalk of Common Mullein at the community gardens. I'm still always happily surprised when wild things let me get close enough to use the 50mm or 105mm to shoot. With so many people around the gardens every day, I think the birds here have developed some level of comfort with humans sharing their gardens. :)

I am sorry if I can't get to you right now as I am extremely busy until Aug. 3rd and then I have some spare time off for a week.

Have a great day all.

He's standing on top of a lamp post that curves over the road. I waited patiently for almost 30 minutes for him to take off, but he was happy where he was and didn't move. I kept creeping closer and closer, but he didn't care..

Intermission at the concert. The moment the lights came on, the cell phones came out. It's a sign of the times.

Out past Coolah, NSW, heading towards Mudgee.

After further review, we have determined that Sam was out of bounds on this run back. 25 yard penalty, still first down.

In Sam language, thats dirty feet, do another lap.

Out being very girly in Leeds

First time taking the camera out of the house in almost three months! I refuse to completely isolate during the fall season.

I think the wine has gone to my head as I look a little spaced out in this picture, or maybe I am think about why a girl like me is always on her knees!

Keeping an eye out for any unwanted visitors.

I put the house on a table next to the window (displacing our own plants temporarily! XD) so there'd be window out the window. It's just too bad we don't have any sort of a view from any of our windows. Ah, city life. Initially I was going to take the whole thing into the park, so you'd see grass and sky out the window, but the weather sucked and I figured I'd probably just knock everything over in the house getting it out there anyway...

On a recent trip to the forests of Sholayar, came across with this "Rogue" youngster! Was hearing unnatural sounds of an elephant for quite some time when we were waiting for any wildlife and finally met him in the wrong place. To the animals' right is in accesible hills through which it cant go up and on the left, a width of 12 feet is the gully which goes down to few thousand feet. We were crossing this fallen Palm(which was actually pulled down by him) and suddenly noticed a movement next to it in shade. If I see him first, then I will not have tried to cross, since 'm sure it'll charge at that close quarters and can throw my vehicle to the depths. But only when I tried to cross the fallen palm at very slow pace, I saw him coming towards me with tusks held high and ready to attack!!!

This was one wonderful moment in life and unfortunately the camera was not with me and used by my friend. So after she finished her frames, I started capturing few. He was certainly furious and most probable reason may be - the Elephant being too young or just reached adulthood and in a Matriarchal system they follow, the males will be thrown out when they reach adulthood and such males may form a Bachelors' group or they may be moving with the main herd in some distance and avoiding the mother and sisters. But in this case, he was recently pulledout and didn't get enough time to find any other friends. Wandering alone, this particular area is too high and away from water sources and thru the state highway passing thru the forest. I've warned rest of the cars n some bikers going that road, since the road is too narow and the poor pachyderm can't move to the side due to inaccesibility. He'll definitely block the road for some hours for sure if none disturbs him to become more angry and in that case there'll be fatalities.

Not only the tractor is worked out but the farm buildings too!

Failed to focus, got a cool out of focus effect
