So I was helping Linda in the garden and was clearing out some debris from under the thujas when I noticed I had some nice visitors there. This Chlorochroa juniperina shiled bug and a couple of buddies were hanging out there and blending in quite well with their yellow and green camo.
Since this species can't be found in the UK, it doesn't have an English vernacular name. The Swedish name however, translates into "green juniper shieldbug" which along with the scientific name for the species, "juniperiana" makes me think they really like juniper trees. Perhaps the Thuja in our garden was close enough that they liked it.
This one stayed still enough for me to do a three exposure focus stack for some extra depth of field and compile them using Zerene Stacker.
I suppose I could've been more helpful with the garden though...

My hubby was cutting some marble tiles in the yard today and all the stone dust was going all over the place including my sliding glass doors. When the sun started setting it revealed all the dust, streaks and cobwebs that were on the door. The sliver of light is the sun setting between an awning and some trees. Seeing the creepy look of it gave me the idea for this image and I took some shots of it to use in my image trapped behind the glass.
I had some other shots where my expression was so horrified that I just could not post. They were too disturbing to me. I think this one is just creepy enough.
Taken for our daily challenge - creepy

I know your name
I know the people out there feel the same
I know you're gone
I hope you've got some friends to come along
I know you're out there
I know you're gone
You can't say that's fair
Can't you be wrong?
I feel ok
Sure, I know that's not what people say
Maybe they're wrong
Maybe you weren't on my side all along
I know you're out there
You're still a case
It's still the place
Weren't you invited?
It's what you can't spare
Whatever's left, just hide the rest
And bring it right in
I know it's sick
I know you think again it's just a trick
Maybe I've changed
Just tell me was this all in vain?
I know you're out there
I know this face it's not erased
Weren't you invited?
It's what you can't spare
Whatever's left, just hide the rest
And bring it right in
Maintained inside
I've lost my range
Feeling strange
Weren't you invited?
Just never tried
It's still the place
You're still the case
Now bring it right in

It's amazing how adding a new tool to our kit can spark a new creative life. I decide to take an adventure down the path of Lensbaby and what fun is becoming.

I'm sure most of us see images everyday that inspire us and remind us of many things. I wanted to go to the beach today and I never did get there so I went to the archive beach. Many of my beach images I had in mind and were looking for were no where to be found which means those were the ones I lost in my hard drive crash about 2 years ago. So, I had this image on Flickr below that I downloaded back and had some fun with textures. I really like working with textures. There happens to be 4 of them here with different capacities and brushes. I stopped working on this image when the colors hit that chord in me. I know I could of kept going but I told myself no. I look forward to some more beach images to work on soon and I'll get to the beach to take some fresh images soon.

Try out how paper can be exposed in the plate holder. It turns out that this old RR paper has a strange edge. As if the paper has been wet. I think it has something.
I rate the paper at 3 asa.
I changed these paper negatives to positive by PS.
