We took some time out to get away from technology and live in the great outdoors for awhile. I am in no rush to sit at a computer to process images from our trip. But I had this image in the queue from a photo session with friends just before we left. It is a triple exposure of flowers in my garden with an edit to create a funky fence look. Down south

We’ve travelled down to Norwich, Norfolk.

Burnley play here tomorrow and kick off is at 12.30.

We’re going to be in the Director’s box for the game… a first for me.

I’ll be watching the game with my pal, Nic, whilst our wives go exploring around Norwich.

We’re staying in the Holiday Inn which is at the football stadium.

A Great Blue Heron delivers another stick to the nest!

There are at least a dozen active heron nests at the GB heron rookery, and I counted 16 herons perched on or near their nests.

I went out on a weathery day and found myself alone waiting for an osprey surveying the scene from above to find some prey. He made four dives, coming up empty each time before looking for more fertile ground. Here he is just before the moment of impact. When they get closer than this to the water they close their eyes.

The local birds know that our garden is guarded by cats, so they wisely stay out...

While on Caldey Island I was lucky enough to see this beautiful red squirrel hiding up in the trees. It was quite dark but I could hear him chirping at me to leave as I was too near to his feeding station so I knew he was up there somewhere! It's not the best focus but I was happy to get a shot as they are a rarity these days.
