Day Three: The arterial line going into Lewis' left arm from which they regularly draw blood for testing.

Day Six: I was trying to catch a fleeting smile when he turned and looked at me and I got this image - one of my favourite pictures taken during this journey to a whole heart.
Day Five: The nurses' station is to the right of the picture and Lewis' room is #4, directly across the hall.
Mya is here for a visit! We have missed her so much!! Her open heart surgery is scheduled for March 8th. If you pray, please say one for our baby girl as she approaches a very difficult time.

Day Three: Lewis does not like having this tube in his nose and tried to pull it out at every opportunity,
Audrey's 1st open heart surgery was in October 2007. After being told she would probably be born dead, this was just one in many of the trials Audrey has, and will be facing throughout her precious life.
During this surgery she almost died of throat complications, went through 24 hours of severe drug withdrawls, and many more painful physical and mental trials.
Day Five: Sorry for even more pictures of Lewis sleeping. It is just that he keeps sleeping so much and is very photogenic. And I had nothing else to do.
Day One: The coiled wires are attached to his heart and ready to be plugged-in to a pacemaker should the need arise. The other tube drains fluids from his chest.
