Don't worry, he's much better now.

Removing bilberry clots from the jam vessel by intrusive penetration

I am 4 months old today. Its my 4 day post heart surgery. I no longer have oxygen going in my nose and they took out the pace wires leading to my heart if needed as well as the direct line going to my heart. I still have my chest tubes in but the draining is getting better. They also took off the gauze on my incision so its just the steri-strips. Ive been charming all the nurses. We expect to go to the step down unit tomorrow which we'll probably be there at least another 3 days then talk of going home.

Day Three: Resting peacefully in hs new room after the intensity of intensive care.

pages are a bit thinner but thats rad i can go back and use pencil crayons instead of microns. that will be funnnn

this drawings kinda lame btw

Got this book for free at the library. wasnt gonna take it but it has perfect pages for drawing sharpie in. I can't use sharpie in any other of my books because it runs so easily. Also Sharpie is my choice when it comes to defacing things. the pages are shiney and kind of thick. also its fun doodling on top of type and random diagrams. so yeah this will be fun.

Day Two: Sildenafil for the right side of Lewis' heart and lungs.

Day Ten: Follow the pathway of stars to the ICU.

Day Ten ICU: One of the nurses brought a mobile for Lewis.

Day Five: We cannot say enough good things about Dr. Campbell. He is a hero to us.

"They remind us the past is real"-Papa Roach

Day One: Lewis is given the sedative in Daddy's arms while mom took this picture.

Strange how when I've been running the scar goes a deeper purple. You can't really see it in the photo so well, but it does. Then, when my blood flow is normal, it's much redder. A plastic surgeon I was talking to a while back told me that this was because it's still alive, there's still blood flowing to it like any other body part. Something I never realised.

Day One: Enjoying last moments with mom while awaiting the surgery.

Day Eight: We came back to the ER at 9 pm to be met by members of our team, including Lewis' surgeon, Dr. Campbell. The yellow stripe on the diaper is what brought us in. It turns green when wet, and Lewis had not wet a diaper since the previous day. He had been throwing up during the day which left him severely dehydrated. We didn't know how bad it was at the time - his kidneys were failing.
