The color version of the same scene. I wanted to call this the "dead tree view" because there were some dead trees near this spot where I took these photos, from a vista point known as Hurricane Point. However, next time I came here, the dead trees were gone. Don't know if road service took them out or they just disappeared after some gusty wind we had in California a few days after these shots.

A comparison of the two versions of the same scene. One is digital (with Kodachrome filter applied), the other is genuine Fujifilm Vevia 100 35mm slide film version. Which one is which? :-D
A California Historic Landmark. Pigeon Point Light Station (or Pigeon Point Lighthouse) is one of the tallest lighthouses on the West Coast of United States (115 feet). It was built on November 15, 1872. Its Fresnel lens is 16 feet tall, six feet in diameter.
