This seems to be the only remaining green heron at Wildwood Park, the others have moved on to their winter homes. This one will stay awhile longer, as long as he can find food in the canal but I'm sure he will also leave when the weather turns cold. It was nice to see him on this lovely October morning..
Fyero and her grass on a rainy afternoon. Fyero is always a fan of bringing the outdoors inside on these rainy days.
Hope everyone is doing well and staying safe.

I was out stalking the birds this morning when this little chickadee arrived, usually they fly off so quickly that lining up a shot, especially a close up, proves rather difficult, but this guy was happy to pose in exchange for access to the freshly filled bird feeder.
Hope everyone is doing well and staying safe.

... stepped outside to say goodnight to my tree in the warm october evening – we have night temperatures around +15°C now which is very atypical here, but nice. Then I discovered how the moon lit up the mist on the meadow...
October gave a party;
The leaves by hundreds came -
The Chestnuts, Oaks, and Maples,
And leaves of every name.
The Sunshine spread a carpet,
And everything was grand,
Miss Weather led the dancing,
Professor Wind the band.

I almost walked by these guys!! They barely caught my eye but the moment they did I took off the lens cap, asked Scott to hold that for me... no pockets... and started lining up my shot!
I had actually set out for a completely different photo today but I'm not one to say no to fungi!
Hope everyone is doing well and staying safe.

Seen off Studland Beach, the ghost ships continue to anchor in the bay.
10 mins later and......very, very heavy rain !
Ladybug hunting in the trees again today; luckily the wind paused long enough to let me grab a shot or two.
Hope everyone is doing well and staying safe.

Autumn leaves sprite to a full bloom array of magnificent colours, but there comes a time as October descends that theses beautiful leaves have to fall away....see you again in the springtime !
Pushing on that trigger is like pulling magic into my very soul...Darrell.
Have a safe and delightful day dearest flickr friends !
Who would guess that this beauty would still be around at change of the season. I’m happy it was. I like to give a name to my photos. It’s a way for me to associate easier with my work. For me “October Bold” works fine just for me. I hope that Gratitude and Kindness are always defined in my photo stream.

October is by far an amazing month. It's the month of hot chocolate and mittens. Plus trick or treating and haunted houses! I adore the feeling of leaves crunching beneath my feet and the soft wind on my face.
And it's one of my best friend's birthday month!<3
Hope you all had a nice Monday!

Hello Flickr Friends
I'm back much sooner than I thought for which I am elated about when you read on.
The reason I thought I may be off for a while was I had found a swollen lymph node in my armpit near where I had surgery 2.5 years ago to remove a small growth in my milk duct. Anyway, I found it about 6-7 weeks ago, but the Pandemic has made it near impossible to get a doctors appt. I eventually got one and then waited a month for a referral to the hospital. Yesterday morning I finally had my appointment, I had 4 Mammograms and an Armpit scan. All is good, my breast tissue is clear and all healthy no return of any growths. They even showed me my titanium pin from my previous surgery (looks like a lock on the scan) My lymph node is larger than it should be, but with the parameters they are happy with. They have marked my under arm and I am to check it regularly and will follow up with a further scan when and if needed. Ladies, please check your breasts, don't be afraid. I have been cautious and lucky. I thought I may be off as I was terrified like last time I'd have to have surgery and was so worried. Today I am just so happy to carry on as normal, but keeping an eye on things.
Anyway, I went on a beautiful October run this morning, the light was amazing, the cobwebs were lit up like jewels. When I got back I took this image of the light cascading through the trees and woodland towards the end of my land.
Have a wonderful and happy Monday and get checking, seeing and feeling your way around your boobies.
