With humid warm weather rolling into our region yesterday the conditions were ideal for some early autumn fog. This is a shot taken along the Thames river beneath the historic Blackfriars bridge which was recently reinstalled after being removed for restoration work.

I planted several different varieties of Morning Glories this year and they have produced almost no flowers, sadly. But this morning as I walked by I let out a loud 'YAY' when I saw this beauty gracing the sidewalk!
This is the 3rd purple flower I've seen, the other 10 were the classic white and blue.

My Mom's gorgeous Hibiscus blossoms still blooming in October due to a mild month! You can see so many buds there still about to bloom.
The image of the leaves was taken on the surface of a creek devoid of any detail let alone a tree canopy... I thought I change that (The camera settings belong to the leaves only).

“October Opens The Door” to the third season here in N.E. United States. The colorful face of Summer in our gardens will be toned down to make way for Fall. The leaves on the trees will lose the green of Summer and take on bright Fall colors. Cooler weather and shorter days are yet another sign of October’s splendor coming into being.
