Just back from the trip I'll start with some antlers, displayed in a staircase at the beautiful König Ludwig Hotel in Schwangau. During the next days you'll hopefully see some more images from churches, castles and mountains that crossed my lens :)
Thanks for visits and faves.
Cheers

If you're Shoshone you call it paγi̵nappi̵h. Otherwise, you may call it pogonip or just freezing fog. Whatever your vernacular, it is beautiful if you can stand the chill of being out in it. We’ve had a pretty nice little dose of it over the last couple days around parts of Lassen County. I’ve found that juniperus trees like, say, junipers are well suited to catch a bunch of the frost when it forms. I thought this scene looked pretty neat at the north end of the Willow Creek Valley on this morning as the sun to camera-right battled to cut the fog (and perhaps add a second digit Fahrenheit to the ambient temperature).
Yes, this beautiful little male leucistic Anna's Hummingbird is still around. He has some issue with his bill on the left side. It was suggested that it is a fungal infection. Hope it gets better... it hasn't affected him otherwise, he is still very active.
An otherwise dark day is brightened up by the Canadian Pacific 8781, painted up as the Hapag-Lloyd Saint John Express, leading the westbound 121 near Moosehead. While there is plenty of snow, it hasn't gotten cold enough yet for Moosehead Lake on the left of the tracks to freeze up yet.
Birds can still be heard occasionally in the fields. Otherwise, silence falls over the landscape. The poppies glow in the backlight of the setting sun. Our world is beautiful.

Ian Boyes is fairly unknown musician and I have only seen him with "Dinny and the All Stars". All Stars is a bit of a hyperbola, but they are all competent musicians, otherwise they will not be invited to 'Southside Shuffle Festival'. "Marching to your own drum beat" is a courageous decision to swim against the social current. Ian may be such a guy, but he is certainly not a revolutionary. I always enjoy "Dinny and the All Stars", a band led by Brian Dinsdale. They home base is at Victoria Pub in east end of Toronto, but for 23 years in the row, they are part of west end "Southside Shuffle" in Port Credit.

Poon Hill is a foothill of Annapurna Massif at 3,210m. It is a famous viewpoint of Himalayas located on the border between Kaski and Myagdi districts. It is a less-than-one-hour walk from Ghorepani that is part of Annapurna Circuit.
The tower is useful if you want to take photos of Himalayas with people on the hilltop (^_^;) Otherwise, ground level view is sufficiently spectacular.
But poetic theology is not “word-magic,” just as other theological forms, such as Scripture, liturgy, or iconography, hold no inherent power to magically transport the believer into communion with the hidden God. The point is, God is already present. Liturgy, iconography, and poetics function as vehicles of presence, even for the nonbeliever, to the degree they facilitate a re-centering of subjectivity from the self and community to God. This transformative dynamic unites the poet, prophet, priest, and mystic, and unites them with every human being who has experienced that paradoxical moment in which one “dies” or “loses oneself” in the immediacy of something (some One) infinitely greater. Indeed, this sense of “infinitely greater” is such that the thought of freezing it in any kind of a system, linguistic or otherwise, feels like a violation, an act of reclaiming the center for ourselves too quickly. Contemplatives become prophetic witnesses precisely when they interrupt this act, interjecting the divine perspective into an imaginative framework that has become opaque, forgetful, or contemptuous of God—that is, the nest of the Unspeakable.

Here's to all the fathers.
Fathers biological or otherwise.
To all the dads who with love, parent a child.
Here's to my father and his love that I carry in me always.
Here's to my brother who has been there for my son since the day he was born, and who is still, and always, there.
Thanks, dads.
Happy Father's Day.
Just a quick shout out to the dads.
I'm still on break from Flickr.
My closets are a lot less cluttered but in the process I've constructed a small mountain on my bedroom floor.
Working next on finding homes for all the stuff.
And then, going to tackle the paper chase that's stuffing the desk in the guest room.
Arg, stuff.
Hope everyone is well. :-)

Multiple focus stacked images were required in order to keep the stamens reasonably sharp.

Tailless Whip Scorpion (Amblypygi) - This cool Arachnid is not a spider or a scorpion. In Arizona they are mostly seen on humid Summer evenings. The name "amblypygid" means "blunt tail", a reference to a lack of the flagellum that is otherwise seen in whip scorpions. They are harmless to humans. Source: Wikipedia

1. Now, brothers, I want to remind you of the gospel I preached to you, which you received and on which you have taken your stand. 2. BY THIS GOSPEL YOU ARE SAVED, if you hold firmly to the word I preached to you. Otherwise, you have believed in vain.
3. For what I received I passed on to you as of first importance: that Christ died for our sins according to the Scriptures, 4. that he was buried, that he was raised on the third day according to the Scriptures, 5. and that he appeared to Peter, and then to the Twelve. 6. After that, he appeared to more than five hundred of the brothers at the same time, most of whom are still living, though some have fallen asleep. 7. Then he appeared to James, then to all the apostles, 8. and last of all he appeared to me also, as to one abnormally born.
9. For I am the least of the apostles and do not even deserve to be called an apostle, because I persecuted the church of God. 10. But by the grace of God I am what I am, and his grace to me was not without effect. No, I worked harder than all of them--yet not I, but the grace of God that was with me. 11. Whether, then, it was I or they, this is what we preach, and this is what you believed. (1 Corinthians 15:1-11)
7. Therefore Jesus said again, "I tell you the truth, I am the gate for the sheep. 8. All who ever came before me were thieves and robbers, but the sheep did not listen to them. 9. I am the gate; whoever enters through me WILL BE SAVED. He will come in and go out, and find pasture. 10. The thief comes only to STEAL and KILL and DESTROY; I have come that they may have LIFE, and have it to the FULL. (John 10:7-10)

Taken after sunset, the highway bridge at Maslenica, Croatia, I prefer the wider version but it seems flickr prefers otherwise. I could not stay any later at this spot for the bridge lights to become more prominent because I also wanted to shoot a blue hour in a nearby village, photos coming soon.
This farm site has a small grove but otherwise is surrounded by cornfields. There is no longer any other building and certainly no farm house that were reminders of the lives once lived there. We all age after a lifetime of laboring and doing our best but life contains a jolt of sadness toward the end if we face the remaining challenges by ourselves.

Wandering around my garden (otherwise known as weeding), I find the most interesting new plants. I'm not certain if this little blossom would be considered a weed. I wasn't willing to end it's life when I spied those bright petals. Then once I focused my macro lens on the center of the flower, I was in love.

The Dutch have a long, unwavering history with water. Otherwise known as the Lowlands, 26% of the Netherlands’ land area is actually below sea level, while a huge 50% is only 1 meter above! These numbers mean that learning to manage water is a huge part of Dutch life – now, and throughout history. From the middle ages, the Dutch have been defending and reclaiming land from the sea. The Zuiderzee Works, IJsselmeer and the Afsluitdijk are just a few examples.

SALVATION THROUGH FAITH IN JESUS CHRIST - ALONE!
12 Salvation is found in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given to men by which we must be saved."
❤️❤️ IT'S ALL JESUS AND NONE OF OURSELVES! ❤️❤️
16 I am not ashamed of the gospel, because it is the power of God for the SALVATION of everyone WHO BELIEVES: first for the Jew, then for the Gentile. 17 For in the gospel a RIGHTEOUSNESS FROM GOD IS REVEALED, a righteousness that is by FAITH FROM FIRST TO LAST, just as it is written: "THE RIGHTEOUS WILL LIVE BY FAITH." (Romans 1:16-17)
16 KNOW that a man is NOT justified by observing the law, but by FAITH IN JESUS CHRIST. So we, too, have put our faith in Christ Jesus that we may be JUSTIFIED BY FAITH in CHRIST and NOT by observing the law, BECAUSE BY OBSERVING THE LAW NO ONE WILL BE JUSTIFIED. (Galatians 2:16)

1 Brothers, my heart's desire and prayer to God for the Israelites is that they may be saved. 2 For I can testify about them that they are zealous for God, but their zeal is not based on knowledge. 3 Since they did not know the righteousness that comes from God and sought to establish their own, they did not submit to God's righteousness. 4 Christ is the end of the law so that there may be righteousness for everyone who believes.
5 Moses describes in this way the righteousness that is by the law: "The man who does these things will live by them." 6 But the righteousness that is by faith says: "Do not say in your heart, 'Who will ascend into heaven?'" (that is, to bring Christ down) 7 "or 'Who will descend into the deep?'" (that is, to bring Christ up from the dead). 8 But what does it say? "The word is near you; it is in your mouth and in your heart," that is, the word of faith we are proclaiming: 9 That if you confess with your mouth, "Jesus is Lord," and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. 10 For it is with your heart that you believe and are justified, and it is with your mouth that you confess and are saved. 11 As the Scripture says, "Anyone who trusts in him will never be put to shame." 12 For there is no difference between Jew and Gentile--the same Lord is Lord of all and richly blesses all who call on him, 13 for, "Everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved." (Romans 10:1-13)
Jesus came to bring spiritual LIFE to the spiritually dead and set the captives FREE! FREE from RELIGION, ERROR and outright LIES, so WE might serve THE LIVING GOD! In SPIRIT and in TRUTH!
So you'll KNOW, and not think you're to bad for God to love. The Christian LIFE isn't about how good WE are, because NONE of us are! It's about how GOOD JESUS IS! Because JESUS LOVES US, so much he died in our place and took the punishment for all of our sins on himself. The wages of sin is DEATH, and Jesus took the death WE so richly deserved for us and died in our place. The good news is, there's no more punishment for sin left. WE, you and I were all born forgive as a result of the crucifixion of God himself on the cross that took away the sins of the whole world. All we have to do is believe it, and put your Faith in the finished work of Jesus Christ. That my friends is REAL UNCONDITIONAL LOVE! YOU ARE LOVED. ❤️ ✝️ ❤️

The American lotus, otherwise known as yellow lotus, volée, water-chinquapin and the scientific name, Nelumbo lutea, is an aquatic plant native to North America. It grows as a carpet of beautiful yellow flowers with windswept, umbrella-like, large green leaves and shower-head–like seed pods on bodies of water.
