SALVATION THROUGH FAITH IN CHRIST JESUS ALONE!
❤️❤️ IT'S ALL JESUS AND NONE OF OURSELVES! ❤️❤️
1. Now, brothers, I want to remind you of the gospel I preached to you, which you received and on which you have taken your stand. 2. BY THIS GOSPEL YOU ARE SAVED, if you hold firmly to the word I preached to you. Otherwise, you have believed in vain.
3. For what I received I passed on to you as of first importance: that Christ died for our sins according to the Scriptures, 4. that he was buried, that he was raised on the third day according to the Scriptures, 5. and that he appeared to Peter, and then to the Twelve. 6. After that, he appeared to more than five hundred of the brothers at the same time, most of whom are still living, though some have fallen asleep. 7. Then he appeared to James, then to all the apostles, 8. and last of all he appeared to me also, as to one abnormally born.
9. For I am the least of the apostles and do not even deserve to be called an apostle, because I persecuted the church of God. 10. But by the grace of God I am what I am, and his grace to me was not without effect. No, I worked harder than all of them--yet not I, but the grace of God that was with me. 11. Whether, then, it was I or they, this is what we preach, and this is what you believed. (1 Corinthians 15:1-11)
7. Therefore Jesus said again, "I tell you the truth, I am the gate for the sheep. 8. All who ever came before me were thieves and robbers, but the sheep did not listen to them. 9. I am the gate; whoever enters through me WILL BE SAVED. He will come in and go out, and find pasture. 10. The thief comes only to STEAL and KILL and DESTROY; I have come that they may have LIFE, and have it to the FULL. (John 10:7-10)

As I was driving into work, the morning sun was making its way thru the mist and fog, trees are just starting to burst with color and I couldn't help myself but to pull over and take it all in. I drove up on this ridge and parked. I walked up to the open gates and noticed several small spider webs, glistening from the dew in the morning sun and started snapping away, I was very excited to see these come out so well on my iPhone. Tiny moments otherwise unwitnessed, my "stopping to smell the roses" moment.
Species: Carduelis carduelis.
The goldfinch is a highly coloured finch with a bright red face and yellow wing patch. Sociable, often breeding in loose colonies, they have a delightful liquid twittering song and call. Their long fine beaks allow them to extract otherwise inaccessible seeds from thistles and teasels. Increasingly they are visiting bird tables and feeders. In winter many UK goldfinches migrate as far south as Spain. Info: RSPB.
Many thanks to people who view or comment on my photos.
This summer, I've been on the lookout for insects, especially ones that I've not seen before. With their large snouts, these weevils sure took the cake! I'm fairly certain that these are Poplar's Snout Weevils, but if you know otherwise, please let me know.
Thank you for your views and comments, much appreciated. Have a great day!

Had to “steam” soften the cookie to permit a bite to be taken from it without otherwise destroying its integrity. Photographed on a white plate. Ate far too many of the rejects. Keep safe...Jack
Since I am drowning in pictures I am going to hop through all the places where I have been otherwise it might take 100 years before I post really nice shots from locations I would like to share.
This shot was taken in the area of the Lyngen Alps at Lenangsoyra. It is the most northern location I have been during my trip at almost 70 degrees NB in the polar circle. I was here early June and as you can see there still was a lot of snow. In fact in most of the places in Norway at that time there was snow everywhere. It gave a wonderful view to the landscapes.
This area is part of a cape where I enjoyed the views of the fjords but also birds flying by like puffins and razorbills.
When the grandkids come over and want chocolate, give them the cheap stuff. Otherwise, this is what happens.

having just swallowed a 'fish' delight, time for wiping the beak.....wonderful lighting this particular morning, a ray of light was coming thru an otherwise dreary sky...
Flying over Cambridgeshire farmland; the size of the individual fields has probably increased, but otherwise it must look very similar to how it did in 1940.
An otherwise gray day turns into a burst of brightness over the thin ice on the skating pond. From my On This Date archives.
A medium-sized raptor with a rounded tail unlike other kites. Adults are unmistakable with a white head and breast contrasting with otherwise brick brown plumage. Juveniles are a darker brownish-black with a paler head and prominent white patches under the wings. Usually associated with both inland and coastal wetlands in tropical Asia, but it is largely restricted to coastal wetlands in Australia where it is alternately known as “Red-backed Sea Eagle.” Call is a distinctive nasal, drawn out, “Kyeeerrh.” (eBird)

This lovely kite flew over our heads several times, checking out the possibility of a snack. It had to compete with a couple of other raptors in the area. We saw these kites in the northern end of Australia before being replaced by other raptors further south.

Though it is about noon here in Markyate, Hertfordshire. There is a bit of traffic, otherwise it is a quiet village. I would think that most villagers like it this way. But not all villagers do. Leica M8, Voigtlaender 35/1.4.
On a rare occasion, a grackle or two will stop by to see what's going on here in the backyard. They usually eat a little and then they are on their way elsewhere. If I go out, they zip up to one of the oaks and hang out for a bit to see if I am going to leave so they can come back down.
They are not really very patient because if I stick around for more than a minute off they go. It's just as well, they are messy eaters and seem to drop more for the squirrels than they actually consume.
I do love the iridescent feathers and that gorgeous eye. This image was taken from the living room window. I seriously doubt I could have gotten a snap of him otherwise since they don't particularly like me.
Have a wonderful day and happy snapping.
At the end of the quarter mile long breakwater in Brixham harbour and "..marking the necessity to turn back" (South West Coastal Path guide). Otherwise you'll get your feet wet. Not the most spectacular lighthouse, and needs a fresh coat of paint, but the proportions are pleasing.

SALVATION THROUGH FAITH IN CHRIST JESUS ALONE!
❤️❤️ IT'S ALL JESUS AND NONE OF OURSELVES! ❤️❤️
16 I am not ashamed of the gospel, because it is the power of God for the SALVATION of everyone WHO BELIEVES: first for the Jew, then for the Gentile. 17 For in the gospel a RIGHTEOUSNESS FROM GOD IS REVEALED, a righteousness that is by FAITH FROM FIRST TO LAST, just as it is written: "THE RIGHTEOUS WILL LIVE BY FAITH." (Romans 1:16-17)
16 KNOW that a man is NOT justified by observing the law, but by FAITH IN JESUS CHRIST. So we, too, have put our faith in Christ Jesus that we may be JUSTIFIED BY FAITH in CHRIST and NOT by observing the law, BECAUSE BY OBSERVING THE LAW NO ONE WILL BE JUSTIFIED. (Galatians 2:16)
1. Now, brothers, I want to remind you of the gospel I preached to you, which you received and on which you have taken your stand. 2. BY THIS GOSPEL YOU ARE SAVED, if you hold firmly to the word I preached to you. Otherwise, you have believed in vain.

So you'll KNOW, and not think you're to bad for God to love. The Christian LIFE isn't about how good WE are, because NONE of us are! It's about how GOOD JESUS IS! Because JESUS LOVES US, so much he died in our place and took the punishment for all of our sins on himself. The wages of sin is DEATH, and Jesus died that death for YOU and I. The good news is there no more punishment for sin left, we were and are all born forgive as a result of the crucifixion of God himself on the cross that took away the sins of the whole world. All we have to do is believe it, and put your Faith in the finished work of Jesus Christ. That my friends is REAL UNCONDITIONAL LOVE! YOU ARE LOVED. ❤️ ✝️ ❤️

Otherwise known as the River Lee in Cork, Ireland - during high tides and calm winds the river can be almost like glass. This is two photos, taken hand-held of Union Quay near sunset and stitched together into this short panorama.
Otherwise known as false dragonhead, this pretty flower lasts nearly to the end of the growing season which makes me very happy.

Lens reflecting. My eyeglasses lying on the bench I'm sitting on. I'm fascinated by the curves and curls as they go in and out of focus.
Yesterday I was out much of the day ~ with camera ~ and took lots of pictures just for fun. Strictly speaking the pictures I'll post are not breakfast abstracts but I think that's going to be my name for images clearly abstracted from photographs, often macros like this one, and not otherwise created.

The dunnock is a small passerine, or perching bird, found throughout temperate Europe and into Asia. Dunnocks have also been successfully introduced into New Zealand. It is by far the most widespread member of the accentor family, which otherwise consists of mountain species. Other common names of the dunnock include the hedge accentor, hedge sparrow, or hedge warbler.

Bryce Canyon NP. "The Hunter" is the name of the large hoodoo on the left. Bryce in winter time is even more spectacular than otherwise. The snow provides a striking contrast to the orange-hued rocks. In this shot, the angle of the sunlight helped make the image more 3-dimensional. Many of my other shots came out looking too flat.
For Sliders Sunday. Solarized and otherwise much slidered. Shot amost directly into a bright sun.
Picturesque Cley mill faces North Norfolk's salt marshes. It's described in an 1819 for sale notice as "New erected tower windmill with fan tail, two pairs of French stones, flour mill and jumper, all in the most complete repair....".
We see it here across a nearly dry river Glaven where it drains into the North Sea.

Dundas Square is Toronto's answer to Times Square with many advertising billboards. It is also site for outdoor concerts and festivals. It was a place for protests and demonstrations, until the authorities decided that in the name of Democracy, protests are only permitted for approved causes and for freedoms in countries far away. I was crossing the square, when the billboard above flooded the place with colour on otherwise grey drizzly day. The square was not always there. It opened in 2002 in effort to revitalize the area. To be honest, I should, but do not remember what was there before.

It’s nice to see the birds here bathing but it’s also nice to see the water clean and calm. Nice day here today as evidenced by the calm scene. Thanks for viewing my work. Gratitude and Kindness count. Don’t ever think otherwise.

(otherwise Mickiewicza Waterfalls) are located at the junction of the Białka Valley and the Roztoka Valley, by the route from Palenica Białczańska to Morskie Oko. Right behind them is a crossroads with the green trail leading to the right to the Valley of Five Ponds, and to the left to the shelter in Roztoka.
Otherwise, I only photograph the Wittlich Valley in the morning, mostly in fog and sunrise.
Last week we had a thunderstorm just before sunset. When this drew off the last clouds were illuminated by the evening sun.
The image is a panorama of 8 vertical shots.

Colorful male House Finch puffed-up and hiding-out in some garden brambles to protect against predators on a cold (15F) day.
Abundant and year-round resident. A flock of (say) 30-40 visit my feeder during the day. They add a flash of color to an otherwise dreary grey afternoon.
No, not that one down there in SoCal. This one exists solely in my head and in the image. Wish I was there now. Getting in some playtime with an otherwise useless shot.
Freshly painted in Loadhaul livery, 37513 heads away from Bridgend station with an empty steel train, returning from Margam to presumably Tees yard.
From a few years in the mid 1990s, most rail freight in the UK returned to a regional model where the mainland railway network was divided into three geographic regions, with each region's freight trains being operated by a different company.
Broadly, Transrail operated freight trains in the West (including Wales and Scotland), Mainline operated in the South East and the Midlands, and Loadhaul operated in the North East of England.
At the time of this image, Bridgend was solidly in Transrail territory with virtually every freight train (of which there were many) being operated by Transrail. However, this train was a surprise: a Loadhaul-operated empty steel train.
The reason for its appearance in the Principality was that the steel it had delivered to South Wales had originated at Lackenby on Teeside, which was served by Loadhaul.
This situation lasted for only a few years: starting in the summer of 1994, by the summer of 1996 all three companies had been acquired by the Wisconsin Central, and they were to merged back together again under the English, Welsh and Scottish Railways banner.
A point of interest is the advertisement in the top right of the image. Using half a Mercedes Benz to advertise 'Benz' nightclub is inspired, though having never visited the said establishment, I can't otherwise comment on the place!

A morning on the "Schrammsteine" ... Only the birds sing their morning song and the fog moves in the Elbe valley, otherwise there is absolute silence ...
Ein Sonntag-Morgen auf den Schrammsteinen... Nur die Vögel singen ihr Morgenlied und der Nebel zieht im Elbtal entlang, ansonsten ist absolute Stille...
Otherwise known as the long route (4 1/2 miles). We have a variation called the short route (3 miles).
The dog normally gets at least one of the two every day; often both!
We noticed a big streak in the otherwise clear sky. Looking closer there was a fast moving plane at the top. The origin was south - far south. Being the southernmost capital city in Australia this seemed unusual. So a quick check of the flight activity identified that the flight was a Qantas scenic Antarctica flight (you can see the Qantas logo clearly on the tail).
I was sitting on a stone bench in Schwetzingen Palace Gardens. Otherwise I'd been falling on my butt. Like this I was only tipping backwards.
