On a trip to Snow Mountain Wilderness, Joel and I came across some mystifying numbers on our trek to the summit. The 3 wormed onto a branch. A potato fell from the pan to land on pine needles. When Joel picked up the errant spud, a 4 was found. I nearly stepped on the 0 while making the final ascent. In actuality it is a double 0. The ants were using it for a marker for their whole in the ground.

Numbers are usually printed both in "Arabic" numerals and in Arabic. "2" looks like a mirror-image "7"; "9" looks like nine, and "8" looks more like a tent.

This part of our urban landscape fascinates me because it’s an underdocumented aspect of environmental “typography”. They aren’t printer’s fonts, but prefabricated letters used by architects & builders. Each product was made only within a specific era, giving a locale a sense of history, just as architecture can.

this is just thinking about the weight crisis in America today. Everyone is either over weight or trying to be insanley skinny. what ever happened to being healthy?
There are an estimated 27 million slaves worldwide. Among them, 2.2 million women and children that have been trafficked into the commercial sex trade. Some months ago I made these numbers to match the script font I made back in May last year, and have finally got around to releasing the sculpt maps for the whole alphabet too. I am thinking about putting this set out as numbers only also, but they're only included in the full alphabet for now.
