One student wrote all the numbers from one to ten in Chinese characters on a sideboard in our class. Other students followed that lead and we've been collecting the ways to say and write these numbers in as many different languages as students in my classes can write in.
There are more numbers.
Fan speed in Roman numerals... but there wasn't a Roman Numeral for Zero.
It should say "Nulla" apparently...

Children have various questions to answer. This is used at the beginning of the lesson and the end, for those what do I do now times.

Irrational Numbers A square root of every non perfect square is an irrational number and similarly, a cube root of non-perfect cube is also an example of the irrational number. When we multiply any two irrational numbers and the result is rational number, then each of these irrational numbers is called rationalizing factor of the other one.

Today was a "Number" themed Muffin TIn Monday.
Top: "One" mini hotdog, "Two" from a slice of green apple, "Three" cherries.
Bottom: "Four" constructed from ptretzels and mini marshmellows, "Five" carved from cheddar cheese, "Six" from Twizzlers on chocolate sprinkles over raspberry yogurt.
Numbers barely recognisable, 60039 runs past 60006 at Toton, 13 August 2010. Work is probably over for 60006, still in the silver Corus livery, it suffered fire damage in October 2008, and has deteriorated fast.
Photos of some of the vestment collection at S. Mary's Church, Upper Froyle. The majority of the items were collected by Sir Hubert Miller (a past Lord of the Manor) whilst he stayed in Italy. The collection numbers over three hundred items of vestments and church furnishings, large portions of which date from the 18th century or earlier. The finest item is probably the 'Corpus Christi' set of cloth of gold with gold embroidery and set with garnets and is of 17th century Italian origin.
