I always loved the way he would start a solo with that one eighth note.... then suspended animation, with eyes closed for 4 beats until he picked it up in the next measure. This limited edition artists’ book contains images inspired by writer Kristina Emick's lush poem Love Note. The poem is letterpress printed on a card reminiscent of ruled note book paper. Each hand painted image is the visual representation of a single word pulled from the poem - with the word printed on the back. This deck of ten cards can be read and rearranged in multiple configurations, creating a poem within a poem. Rich imagery and evocative text evoke summer days, ripe fruit and the sensuousness of touch.

My job involves helping groups of people identify the structures of their documents, assign names to the parts of the documents, and figure out in what patterns these document parts occur. We use sticky notes instead of the many electronic tools for this because participants know that there is nothing permanent about the placement of a sticky note and that they can get up and move, remove, or replace one at any time.

Update: I went back there today, and it was gone. :)
NOTES is a series I started in 1968. NOTE TO ERIK was the second one completed but the footage goes back to 1966. When I saw the footage I loved it, but didn't feel ready to deal with it. Seeing Sharon Moss again, who had moved to NYC from Storrs, CT inspired me to return to this footage to make a note to a mutual friend ERIK KIVIAT. It took about 2 years for me to feel I could respond to the generosity of her performance and the images I had gathered and shaped in my camera. Sharon Moss and her cats play and dance naked in the snow.
Note the sweatshirt graphics.
Any suggestions for minimizing those purple rings under her eyes? I played around in Photoshop a bit, but didn't find a satisfactory fix.
I hope to shoot more portraits, so any advice would be welcomed.

I found these cool Word Cards (1.5" x 3.5") in a Japanese store and had them in my Pocket, but they got Bent, so using 2 old Credit Cards and a Hole punch I made a cover.
