This is certainly not art photography - but a curious story I simply wanted to share.

We woke on Valentine's Day, looked out our front window, and saw two entwined hearts at the bottom of the driveway. Our first thought was some sweet neighbor had come along and scraped out the design....but it seemed too perfectly proportioned for that. Glancing out a little later, we watched the car across the road use our driveway as a turn-around, and it followed exactly the previous design of the valentines. I don't think this could ever have been done on purpose, so must have had an assist from the Cosmos. Hopefully a smile for your day.

When the sun I'd been waiting for this particular morning finally rose, it wasn't much to look at, but when I looked behind me I was pleasantly surprised... :)

Far in the background can be seen the pachydermal establishments of the Avedøre Power Station, a multi fuel combined heat &power plant (see next post for a detailed close-up). Avedøre plant, a multi fuel combined heat and power station on the outskirts of the city, once built to burn coal and nowadays converted to replace coal with wood. It uses natural gas, oil, straw and wood pellets for simultaneous generation of heat.

Taken at the Spanish Town Mardi Gras Parade in Baton Rouge. A fun time was definitely had by all...^+* !!!!

I found it much more interesting to get candid shots of the people before the parade than the parade itself. So many foto-ops, and only a 2Gig card...(=P... I kept having to hold myself back!!!

Grabbed this shot yesterday of a bluff along the Comite River. You don't see many scenes like this along the Comite, as most of the terrain is very flat. This is downright mountainous in southern Louisiana... ;)
