A bonus pic from the pond down the road...just because it's Saturday... :)

It was 80 degrees here on Sunday, with a freeze forecast for Monday morning. I was trying to document our Camellias and was surprised to see bees buzzing about! With 20 mph winds, I'm surprised that I actually got a few shots!

btw...I don't know about where you are, but Flickr has been down since early morning!

Stay warm and get ready for Santa!

Although still in fairly sound condition, my old friend is still deteriorating. It is a much larger barn than this shot would indicate, but you'll see that later, with some interior shots.

Only a rustle of leaves here and there as the woodsy creatures begin to stir and take on the challenges of the day.

And, of course, the clumsy tromping of my feet as I intrude into their world.

The big build up of seeds ahead of colder weather is under way! Life before death, I always say...

I was just looking for something to shoot that used that sweet morning light... ;)

The nave of the cathedral of Saint-Denis in Paris, regarded as the first true Gothic cathedral ever built.

The fog wasn't heavy, just enough to give familiar surroundings a new aura of mystique.

He's loving the clean bath, but still wary of me...

Have a great 4th, everyone!

At one point of my hiking, I finally reached the Amite River before the morning was totally gone. Of course, if I had gotten here any earlier, it would have been too dark to see anything!

A closer look at Lake Martin flora.

...like taking a walk in the woods, looking for winter colors.

I re-visited a spot that I shot before, but with the ultra-wide 14mm lens this time. Got a few keepers that I will post amid all the coming Spring shots of flowers and such.

Giant coffees and ukulele, here is the recipe for happiness and grinding teeth

I last posted a photo of this abandoned house back in 2019. I decided on a wider view this time and couldn't hold myself back on the processing.

HSS to all that are participating!

Been having to change my routine because of the heat. Usually, I fart around on the computer early in the day, now I have to get out and do chores early, or I'll just keel over and die...

I'm still living in the past...

Photoshop but no Ai. Two layers and a warp transform.

Another shot of this colorful display of leaves, now that Winter seems to be settling in.

After a Summer long drought, life is still lush along the banks of the Amite River.

Can't you just imagine a T-Rex's head popping up in the background?

This road used to connect two different towns, but has been cut in two by a huge infrastructure project. I'm not sure if it will ever be re-opened, as it was never more than a gravel road to begin with.

No leaves or trees or anything, but still gold...

Looking more like a stream than a river, the Comite is so low that you can walk on the river bed. It's getting to where we face a drought every summer. I just hope we don't lose any more trees. We lost 3 in our front yard alone, last year.
