Macromonday - "new years resolution"
Yes, I know, "nice composition", "oh so many textures", and "wonderful color" but seriously I know u are just staring at those big honking chocolate covered peanuts aren't u? tee hee
Actually I don't make resolutions because I just cant' keep them.
I love watching students have fun with learning tools! If you could write your resolution on this whiteboard, what would it be?
I don't know why but that morning I decided to weight myself. Never do it. Oh, ok. Once a while. That morning I saw a number I never saw before and I tell you, I was shocked. Angry. Frustrated. I think I touched my personal low.
Which is, in the end, a good thing, because it is exactly the energy that gives me the power to change.
On diet since monday! (Loosing some weight was number 3 of my new years resolutions...)
A New Hairdo for the New Year. Decided my New Year's Resolution is to take time for me and tidy up my image and my environment.
What I need to work on in 2009.

Day 190 of 365 (Tuesday) - A friend of mine gave me first refusal on a 28mm lens he was selling (an equivalent of 45mm on my camera body), to help me move on from my 50mm (an equivalent of 85mm on mine - which I have only recently discovered!). Today was my first trip out with it. I wanted to know whether it would still be possible to take close up pictures if I wanted to, so challenged myself to see how close I could get with it today. This image is the closest candid I managed. After much deliberation over the past few days, and the test run today, I decided to give myself an early Christmas and birthday present, and get the lens. It will be a challenge, but interesting to shoot with something new.

One of my top resolutions: Shoot more. Learn more about the art and discipline of photography. The book in the background is Visionmongers... I HIGHLY recommend it.

Well this is only meant to be a bit of a laugh. It is taken with my new iPhone 4 and this was spotted on the sickipedia website and mad me chuckle. I think it looks better slightly blurred and over focused.

New Years resolution is to be more positive and happier this year. I'm constantly thinking negatively, surrounded by negative thinking people. Even writing the 1st draft of this comment I was sarcastic.
So on a positive note I'm going to remember what I have got going for me:
Photography skills, I'm young still, I don't give up without a fight, I have amazing friends
and well I have flickr which understands my passion for photography :P
