Stagecoach Bluebird implement their revised network from Monday that yet again shows a further contraction in their provision. The finalised Network was registered prior to First Aberdeen Commercial Manager Daniel Laird swapping sides to join Stagecoach in a similar role and it will be interesting to see what his detailed commercial knowledge of the First Aberdeen network brings to the next set of Bluebird changes. Solo 47488 works the 62, a route heavily changed from Monday.

Network Rail 153 385 seen in the holding sidings. A camera fitted here now. Former East Midland Trains unit now fitted with test equipment. Called a "Visual Inspection Unit" and used to check points and crossovers.

Słowiński National Park is situated in Pomeranian Voivodeship (northern Poland), on the Baltic coast, between Łeba and Rowy. It was created in 1967 and its area is more than 18 thousand ha and it has been listed on UNESCO’ s Network of Biosphere Reserves.
The greatest attraction of this park are the shifting sand dunes (sometimes called "Polish Sahara"), which, as they move, uncover dead tree stumps - the fossilized remains of forests once growing here. The dunes tend to move from West to East at different speeds, they can shift from 3 to 9 meters yearly. The sand movement starts when wind blows just 5meters per second. Łebska spit (Mierzeja Łebska) is the biggest cluster of moving dunes, called the white mountains. Some dunes are quite high - up to 40 meters. The highest one is Łącka Dune, and it reaches 42 meters above sea level. On dunes try to settle some plants, however, they must be resistant to salt ground, backfilling and high temperature hot sand in hot summer days. Plants grow first in the lower parts of the dunes, so their upper part, unstable through the grass, it's more susceptible to wind and moves faster, up to 9 m per year. From the top of the highest dunes you can see an amazing view of the other dunes, Łebsko lake and the Baltic Sea.

Wydmy Ruchome są ewenementem przyrodniczym Słowińskiego Parku Narodowego i unikalną atrakcją turystyczną. Położone są miedzy jeziorem Łebsko, a morzem. Piasek osuszany przez wiatr i słońce , wywiewany silnymi wiatrami w głąb lądu tworzy wysokie wydmy (od 30 do 40 m wysokości) z najwyższą czterdziestodwumetrową Wydmą Łącką. Już od stuleci przesuwane są one w kierunku wschodnim i południowo wschodnim. Siła działania wędrującej wydmy jest ogromna, bowiem zagraża ona roślinności i zasypuje wszystko co napotyka na swej drodze. Jej moc zależy od siły wiatru, wysokości stoku, czoła wydmy i ukształtowania terenu. Ruchome piaski tworzą przepiękny pustynny krajobraz, unikatowy w Europie, zwany często polską Saharą. Wydmy powstają z morskiego, pozbawionego próchnicy piasku, mają biały kolor. Od momentu ich powstania, na tym jałowym i niesprzyjającym podłożu próbują osiedlić się rośliny. Aby przetrwać, muszą być one jednak odporne na zasolenie podłoża, zasypywanie oraz na wysoką temperaturę rozgrzanego w upalne dni piasku. Ich zarastaniu przeciwdziała także wiatr wiejący przez cały rok. Rośliny opanowują w pierwszej kolejności niższe partie wydm, dlatego też ich wyższa część, nieustabilizowana przez trawy, jest bardziej podatna na działanie wiatru i przemieszcza się szybciej, nawet do 9 m w ciągu roku, gdy porośnięte trawą, zaledwie do 3 m na rok. Dla zapewnienia szczególnej ochrony zespołom wydm, utworzono Obszar Ochrony Ścisłej Mierzeja. Atrakcyjny i dostępny dla turystów wydmowy szlak zajmuje pięciokilometrowy odcinek Mierzei Łebskiej.
A Barrow - Liverpool train restarts from Ulverston station in April 1983, in the days when the Furness peninsula was part of B.R.'s intercity network. An engineers train can be seen stabled on the throat of the goods yard.

Network South East Class 47/4 47582 'County of Norfolk' approaches Didcot with the 13:20 London Paddington to Oxford Network Express service. The train will have made one intermediate stop at Reading en route west.

The only store I know of that still has this installed in the ceiling. These were installed when the store was brand new back in 2006? Unlike the other Walmart around, this store got these fancy flat screen tvs instead of the old tubes.

This unique DMU is now looking rather sorry for herself after being withdrawn in December 2024 in favour of more converted Class 153s.
Only one Class 950 was ever built, the one you see here. She was purpose built in 1987 using a Class 150 bodyshell for track monitoring and was even numbered as a Class 150 under TOPS.
She is spotted at the back of Derby RTC, from London Road Bridge. I'm unaware of where the other half of this unit is though I imagine it could well have met a sticky end already...

Colas Railfreight operated Class 37s 37602 and 37608 are seen near Boughton Junction on the High Marnham test track working top and tail on a Network Rail test train.
1Q78 08:54 Derby RTC - Derby RTC (Via High Marnham).
37602 belongs to Direct Rail Services and 37608 belongs to Europhoenix. Both locomotives are on hire to Colas Railfreight because Colas do not have enough Class 37s to operate Network Rail test trains.
