This is from a series of old negatives found in an envelope in a box of photographs at a junk store in Dewey, Oklahoma. Some seem related, others do not. Most are damaged in some way and/or poorly executed in the camera and in the dark room. Many are over- exposed.
To try to make some sense of the group, all were scanned so that obscure details might be revealed.
Don't have a negative scanner, so tried scanning negs on a regular flatbed with no negative/slide attachment. First attempt didn't work because you need light to shine through the negative.
So tried using an iphone as back illumination (Torch app). Got this. It's a color photo, but none of the colors made it through.
Inverted and level adjusted in photoshop.

My entry for the Positive Posters competition. I think negativity and negative energy is a real issue today and although it may sound cliche, but the world really would be a much better place if people would only be a bit nicer to each other and with a more positive outlook on life. Don't you agree?
Part of a large batch of vintage negatives I purchased at an estate sale. They seem to be mostly NJ, 1930s and 1940s. If you recognize a building, please comment and let me know where it is.
Reclaimed negative from a (rather overexposed) Fuji FP100C45 instant print, which involves bleaching off the backing and (carefully) washing the developer off the front. Think I'm getting a bit more detail out of the negative than out of the print. Interesting result, look forward to treating some more.
First month complete.
Took this out the sunroof (for those who don't know, I drive a Bug that same color and the billboard put a smile on my face).
View On Black Part of the huge power station next to the N1 between Paarl & Stellenbosch offramps, South Africa. Took this shot out the car while travelling pretty fast.

The title will hopefully make sense when you see the source photo by AM 09
This is the second type of photos. It uses a 4x5 view camera on photo paper (which is called paper negative). This is normally only available for large format (as you cannot easily add a photo paper on the back of other type of camera, except polaroid). ISO 6. The development is very harsh and has to tame a bit next time. The negative has been inverted and middle grey lower. Still, too harsh. Tried next time.
