Double Negative looking to the north from the south.

Glass negatives from Carbon County, PA.

My guess would be that the photographer is standing on Lehigh Ave looking North-West and the excavation would be the post office located at 3 Lehigh Ave, Jim Thorpe, PA 18229

I have no information as to the specific locations or the people in the photos so if anyone knows anything please feel free to comment. That way I can properly catalog the information with that specific negative and preserve its history for future generations.

Don't you just love how negative space can become a subject on it's own?

Image made from a scan of a 35mm color negative made with a Minolta X700 SLR camera. Scanned with Nikon Super Coolscan LS8000-ED scanner.

Another old paper negative I found while going through some of my prints.

Must have been shot in the early 1970’s. It is on single weight grade 2 paper and 6x6 format so was shot using the Kowa 6 I had at the time.

Scanned and then reversed and inverted in PS.

Some very old negatives I got from a friend colector to scan.

Thin paper negative sleeve, probably 1970s based on the negatives inside when I found it.

This flickr account was set up to store the negatives I buy at ebay, antique shops, flea markets, etc. I scan or photograph the negatives, process them, and then post them here. I enjoy discovering and revealing these images that otherwise might be lost.
