Old 120 negative scanned on a regular flat bed scanner. Poor quality negative from late 1940's / early 1950's showing a home darkroom. This ones for Jusni!
I was intrigued by today's Macro Monday theme, Negative Space. So I read a little and then went searching through the photos I took last week while on vacation. I found this one. While not taken specifically for the group and not a macro by a long shot, I felt it really fit the definition of negative space.
However, the real reason for putting it on flickr is to give the next two shots some context. Specifically shot as macros with a definite negative space concept, they were taken 3 or 4 days before the theme was announced.
You might want to check this out on a black background. It's a pretty cool effect.
Glass negatives from Carbon County, PA.
My guess would be that the photographer is standing on Lehigh Ave looking North-West and the excavation would be the post office located at 3 Lehigh Ave, Jim Thorpe, PA 18229
I have no information as to the specific locations or the people in the photos so if anyone knows anything please feel free to comment. That way I can properly catalog the information with that specific negative and preserve its history for future generations.

I was experimenting with negative space. This was done in a standard composition notebook. Even though I had glued two pages together, when I wrote on the back with a pink marker, it bled through so I had to go in with a digital eraser and clean out the whole ballerina space. She was there before, but there were little pink spots in weird places. Anyway, this may become a canvas.

I recently bought a job lot of glass negatives at auction and just spent a few hours photographing them on a lightbox with my dslr then 'developing' them in Photoshop.
My Great Great Grandfather Henry was a Methodist Preacher back in his day.
Dad had an old Methodist Hymn book he had rescued from my Grand parents house when that was sold back in the late 90's.
Dad had never opend this hymn book until recently and these negatives were in the book and fell out upon opening.
