I am looking forward to conducting two new workshops with the winner of Landscape Photographer of the Year 2010, Antony Spencer.

We are holding one in Cornwall and another in Dorset which is nearly booked up. I hope you can join us - you will find full details on the workshops page of my website - there is a link to my website on my profile page for which there is a link below

So the second night we went to see the sunset, it was a dud. So many clouds, the sun set way up high. I thought it was done and we headed out. As we were walking back, people were rushing past us towards the caldera. I kept making comments to my husband that they were going to be so disappointed that there was nothing to see. Suddenly a woman in her hurry bumped me hard and kept going. I turned to look at her as she hurried off. To my shock, there was the most gorgeous sunset happening! Lucky for me, there was an excellent viewpoint right there, so I quickly set up my tripod and started shooting. Incredible.

Sadly this Art-Deco building is nearly gone

The leaves have held on for a long time this fall in Ontario... now in November it is getting bare.

5.19 pm, the Sun has set and Mother Nature is doing a grand slam on us all. With the wind blowing like crazy it’s -26c and tonite -30c A wee bit chilly and more snow to add to the mix.

Nearly finished, maybe a change of the colorsheme will come. It is really fun building this

Perhaps I didn't find the best landscape subject, but holy moly, was I not letting that light go uncaptured!

The Horse and Trap were on their way back to the stables, taking the entrance to Gawsworth Hall (Cheshire) directly ahead of them. The overhanging trees produce a lovely light in this area :-).

...only a few hours to go before the new year begins!

May it bring joy and hapiness to all of you! Happy 2010!

Maybe you've heard about it. Haha.

I was trapped in my house all day and couldn't even go out to take photos because all the snow falling just turned the photos white. My mother was telling me to go out and take photos. Not asking; telling.

Here, Mom. These are for you. =]

The one in the comments shows the depth.

This lovely juvenile Robin was looking nice with it's red feathers

appearing on it's breast, now it shall have to watch out for other Robins as they are very territorial and will chase off, and maybe kill other redbreast birds that are in their territory.

Even the parents can do this, this is why the young Robins are specked, it's natures way of protecting them.

The old Russian Sub in the Medway has been under a repainting for the last year, and it seems to be getting nearer to having had a full paint job. No Idea why, as I had always assumed it was due for dismantling and selling to the iron collectors.. Or Recycling in todays terms.

This is the one that nearly got me arrested. Waiting for herself to exit X-Ray, I wander down to this stairwell and notice the pattern on the wall. Down I go and shoot from various angles. Coming out of the stairwell, I hear shouts from the left as two blue-clad security men burst through swinging doors. My first instinct is to flee but I stand my ground! No cameras allowed! Sorry, I say, I didn't see any signs. NO CAMERAS ALLOWED! OK, fellas, no problem, sure. Hey would you like me to take a snap of you two fine strapping chaps? One guy actually goes to pose but the other fellow grabs him in time. Fair enough.....

I took this image last year and it's original title was simply 'October'- but as we are not quite there yet I've amended the title slightly, the weather today certainly thinks were are there already!

Hope everyone is well, I haven't been around much as have not done much in the way of photography, but there's nothing like the surprise of the Pro subscription renewing, to make you think oops, I'm paying for something I never use! I'm planning to pick up the camera a bit more often now so hopefully I'll start to get a bit more money's worth!
