Nearly missed this one in the garden. They look like bird droppings so you can easily miss them. Also very small with a Wingspan 18-22 mm.

It was a cold winter night in Salzburg after 3 days of heavy snowfall with nearly no view of the fortress, only the red light shows the direction.
We lost here nearly 4 years ago and still miss her so much. Stil crying our eyes out from time to time.
A miles from my next pickup. I pulled over and took several pictures of this pond, and then had to hurry on my way. Guess I'll do my reflecting at the end of my day. This shot is obviously focused on just the reflection of the trees beside this pond. I liked the dark warm colors rendered by the available light filtering thru the dense cloud coverage.
Grown from seed.....I couldn't find zinnias in the garden centers, so I ended up buying a pack of seeds even tho it was almost June. This is the first, and heartiest, after six weeks. Imagine my surprise when yesterday it bloomed, and it is pale yellow, with a red center!
I took this image nearly a month ago, and not posted it, hoping to get a shot of boxing hares. I think my chance has gone for another year, but hey ho, that's fine. it wouldn't be fun if we got every shot every time :o)

Nearly 15 minutes here as the clouds stream past the trees along the horizon. The clouds were moving parallel, making for an interesting effect with the hole in the sky :)

While in Lima nearly 10 years ago now, I had the joy and privilege of meeting Claudia Luthi, a wonderful photographer and a wonderful human being who sadly is no longer with us.
We spent the better part of a day exploring on foot a region she has photographed extensively and which was the subject of her essay for the Souvenirs exhibition we were both involved in. This series of small towns, about an hour’s drive south of Lima, are in a narrow stretch of land between the Panamerican highway and the sea. They were developed as seaside resorts in recent years, with a high rate of economic failure. Out of season the area is virtually deserted and eerily peaceful.
For nearly 5,000 years, people have lived in these canyons - longer than anyone has lived uninterrupted anywhere on the Colorado Plateau. In the place called Tsegi, their homes and images tell us their stories. Today, Dine' families make their homes, raise livestock, and farm the lands in the canyons. A place like no other, the park and Navajo Nation work together to manage the land's resources

On the return of our walk this was what we saw: the hamlet Clavaniev, where our holiday home was, and Disentis, sunlit in this photo.
Not sure that this sunflower has realised that it’s nearly autumn. It’s also a very small flower head, only about an inch across!

Wisteria (Wisteria spp.)
I found 15 minutes for a wander around the garden today and I noticed the first of the Wisteria buds are starting to open.
for nearly 3 years, while in Qatar, clouds were a rarity!, i came back to Scarborough, and the clouds literally came down to the ground. today although they were in the sky, for some minutes, i truly felt like i was in wonderland lol.
i took many snaps, but i have many photos from Qatar, London and Scarborough last month, so one at a time ( or two lol.
the dragon is there, you just need to look for it!

Males are black with red shoulder patch that is sometimes concealed. Males have rusty feather edges in the winter. Females are streaked brown and often confused with sparrows. Look for long, sharply pointed bill. Often in flocks, especially in winter. Visits feeders. Breeds in marshes and scrubby, wet fields. Distinctive song, especially as migrants arrive in early spring. A proud male celebrates his vanquishing of the enemy found within the side mirror of a car. He fought that reflection for nearly five minutes, crammed in tight between door and mirror. His stance says it was all worth it.

While on my current trip to the hills in South India, we were all caught up there for unprecedented mountain flood...just could safely come down to the coastal plains last night....within another fortnight I shall fly a few thousand miles to reach the northern most part of my country....and wander in my Himalayas again...before that I must fly another thousand miles to be back home....happy I am to find my way ahead....with that delight I share another glimpse of the Himalayas near Langza in Spiti valley, Himachal Pradesh, India
