There were many creatures I hoped to see in Namibia but didn't think that I would. I did not however even think about seeing a budgerigar. Nevertheless this budgericar was living wild in Walvis Bay and I saw it on consecutive days living beside common waxbills.
How it got there and how long it will survive is a different story.

Just after landing in Windhoek, the capital of Namibia, we're on our way to Tsumeb where we're staying. We have a 3-4 hour drive ahead of us but with such a beautiful view to stare at we won't see the time go by.
Taken during a 2 week adventure holiday to Namibia with Exodus Travels, October/November 2006. Image taken with a borrowed Minolta Dynax 5D camera, the first DSLR that I ever used. Originally shot in jpeg format, then recently reprocessed using DxO PhotoLab 4 to try and get the best out of them, as I hadn't really appreciated the possibilities of what I'd taken at the time.
