Opuwa means "the end" in Hereo - it is the last N.Western settlement before reaching the Angolan border. Hot as hell but got hotter as we travelled north. The highest temperature we recorded was 57 oC that's about 134 oF.

Colourful Namibia. But if we break it down to just black and white, we get to see this country from a whole new - beautiful - perspective. In this picture: A so called "Kapana"-Stand, where residents of Katutura, a suburb of Namibias Captail Windhoek, sell grilled beef and chicken.

Connue autrefois sous le nom de Sud-Ouest africain, colonie allemande (1884-1915) puis protectorat de l'Afrique du Sud, la Namibie est un État indépendant depuis le 21 mars 1990. Investigation name or abstract title: Surveillance system evaluation for malaria in elimination phase, Oshana region, Namibia, 2017.

Photo description:This picture was taken in September 20, 2017 at Adolf village, Oshana Region, a region in Northern Namibia. This is an Image of me (in light blue shirt) performing a Blood-sugar level test to a male client (in a blue T-shirt), during a Community screening for Non-Communicable Diseases (NDCs). Seated around are other Community members queuing up for screening. Individuals with elevated Blood sugar level were referred to the nearest health facilities for Doctor’s review. During the campaign, community members were given health education on modifiable risk factors of NCDs such as, avoid harmful use of alcohol, avoid Tobacco use, advised to be physical active and to eat balance and healthy diet (avoid excessive use of sugar and salt).The screening exercise was made possible by the Oshana Regional Health Directorate.
