As I mentioned in my previous post, I did not like how the shoes paired up to the dark hose or the rest of the outfit. In this progression you will notice, from the original photo, how there is improvement if the color of the shoes matches the skirt in the middle and the hose to the right.
Oh, and in case it is not obvious, check the face on each photo and realize how simple it is to erase the FaceApp watermark if you want or need to.

Nahe der Grenze zu Tschechien liegt die 410-Seelen-Gemeinde Reintal (GM Bernhardsthal, MI). Im östlichen Ortsteil an der Kreuzung Gstätte und Pfarrgasse steht diese etwa 3,6m hohe Freifigur des Hl.Nepomuk aus Sandstein unter mächtigen Lindenbäumen. Er ruht in 173m SH im Ortsried auf einem weiten Grundfundament auf dem die Statue aufgerichtet wurde. Sie hat unterhalb einen hohen rechteckigen Sockel mit einem Wulst oberhalb. Am Sockel ein quaderförmiges Postament an dessen Vorderseite eine seichte spitzbogige Kartusche zu sehen ist mit Zwickel in den oberen Ecken. In der Kartusche folgender Stiftungstext: "HEILIGER JOHANN VON NEPOMUK BITTE FÜR UNS. GEWIDMET J. 1911". Am Postament eine rechteckige leicht vorspringend Deckplatte auf der ein mehrfach gestufter Figurensockel aufliegt. Der unterste zeigt eine pentagonale Nische ohne Inhalt. Am Figurensockel die Figur des Hl.Nepomuk mit all seinen kirchlichen Attributen: er trägt unterhalb einen bodenlangen Talar, darüber ein Chorhemd. Um die Schulter hat er eine Mozetta gebunden, ein kurzes Cape aus Hermelin. Weiters trägt er um den Hals ein Pektorale, ein eisernes Kreuz. Am Haupt trägt der kurzbätige Heilige ein Birett, eine schirmlose Kappe des Klerus. An seinem Hinterhaupt ein goldener Heiligenschein. In seinen Händen hält er ein Kruzifix, darunter sein Märtyrerpalmzweig. Über der Statue wurde 2007 ein schützender Baldachin errichtet. Laut Pfarrchronik ersuchte der damalige Pfarrer Karl Pleyer den k.u.k. Notar Leopold Grüberl, aus Feldsberg, hier als Ersatz für die alte Nepomuk-Statue eine neue Statue zu errichten das auch von Fürsten Liechtenstein in Feldsberg genehmigt wurde. Anlässlich einer kanonischen Visitation wurde die Statue 1911 vom Dechant eingeweiht. Sie ist heute im Eigentum der Gemeinde. Hier stand einst die "alte" spätbarocke Nepomuk-Statue aus 1735 die 1993 restauriert wurde und heute an der Lundenburger Strasse im Ortszentrum neu platziert wurde (im Album). Restaurierungsjahre sind: 1995 (Rada, Poysdorf), 1996 (Prof.Haller, Mistelbach), 2007, 2020 (NW)

Hace unos meses tuve la oportunidad de acercarme a la ria con cámara de fotos, así que después de aparcar el coche en la vecina playa de Lourido nos fuimos a dar un paseo siguiendo la costa para ya con los últimos rayos del sol acercarnos al pequeño puerto de Campelo. El puerto de mis recuerdos donde pasaba las noches de verano pescando con mi padre, pero con el tiempo todo se pierde , se diluye no? Hacia tiempo que no me pasaba por allí y me lleve una grata sorpresa al ver como todo seguía igual que la ultima jornada de pesca tan solo habían cambiado un par de detalles, alguna barca con pintura nueva o alguna como esta en espera de reparaciones mientras a sus lados descansan las nasas y revolotean las gaviotas. Lo mejor fue al volver a casa y notar que la bufanda olía a mar.

Aqui se pode notar a cor bem avermelhada da areia da Praia de Aqaba, no sul da Jordania, no Mar Vermelho.
Al llegar al millón de kilómetros, cada AS-2002 del Metro de Santiago es sometido a la revisión técnica más profunda. En ella los equipos son desarmados prácticamente por completo y se reemplaza gran parte de las piezas mecánicas.
En la imagen se puede apreciar la unidad 444 en pleno proceso de mantención. Cómo se puede ver, ha sido despojada de sus bogies, los cuales serán desarmados para reemplazar sus ruedas y realizar la mantención necesaria a los motores y discos de freno.
También se puede notar que las puertas fueron retiradas para limpiarlas e inspeccionar los mecanismos de apertura y cierre de las mismas.

After reaching one million kilometers, each AS-2002 of Santiago's Metro is submitted to the deepest technical inspection. In this inspection, trains are almost completely disassembled and a large amount of mechanical parts are replaced.
In the image, unit 444 is undergoing maintenance. Bogies have been removed, in order to disassemble them, so that wheels can be replaced by new ones and perform the necessary maintenance to the engines and brake discs.
Doors were removed also, to clean them and also to inspect the opening and closing mechanisms.

Fotos tiradas de Santa Teresa, uma em 1909 (foto atribuída a Auguste Léon) e a outra em 2015 (foto minha), e mostram parte do bairro da Glória com a igreja do Outeiro da Glória e a Baía de Guanabara ao fundo com a cidade de Niterói. O morro cheio de verde à direita hoje está coberto pela comunidade Santo Amaro, que na foto de 2015 fica difícil de ver por causa da árvore na frente. Notamos claramente a substituição das antigas casas por imensos edifícios! Nos morros de Santa Teresa também muitas casas foram construídas. Num olhar mais cuidadoso podemos notar que o mar chegava bem mais perto do Outeiro da Glória antes e, agora, por causa do Aterro do Flamengo, ele se distanciou...
Do outro lado da baía de Guanabara, podemos também notar o espantoso crescimento da cidade de Nitéroi com a Praia de Icaraí abarrotada de altos edifícios!

Photos taken from Santa Teresa neighborhood, one in 1909 (photo by Auguste Léon) and the other in 2015 (my picture) and show part of the Gloria neighborhood with Outeiro da Glória Church and the Guanabara Bay in the background with the city of Niteroi in the other side of the bay. The hill full of green now is covered by Santo Amaro slum, which in the picture of 2015 is difficult to see because of the tree in front. We can clearly note the replacement of the old houses by the huge buildings! In the hills of Santa Teresa also many houses were built. In a closer look we can see that the sea came much closer to Outeiro da Glória Church before and now because of the construction of Flamengo Park, it is distance...
Across Guanabara Bay, we also note the amazing growth of the city of Niteroi with the Icaraí beach crowded with tall buildings!

Before posting more detailed impressions on the results of using the FaceApp to enhance and modify your face, I am sharing the very first filter that we can apply. When you upload a photo to the app, it spends a few seconds identifying faces. If it finds a single face, it proceeds to open the image and it the is more than one it will let you select the face you want to work with. Once a face is opened, the initial screen is displayed (image on the left), giving you several options to work with, including gender.
From my experiments, the first, and maybe only, filter that should be applied to make our face look more feminine, is the gender option. If the app recognized the face as feminine, it will give you a single feminine filter and two masculine filters (center image). The feminine option will enhance your feminine features by changing the shading and some proportions and also lengthening the hair a little (right image). The two masculine options will each turn your face into a masculine equivalent which, in my case, both were very different from my masculine self.
On the other hand, if the app identifies the face as masculine, it will give you a single masculine option and two feminine options; one with long and the other with short hair. I tried both feminine options with my male photo and the results were terrible and nothing like Cristy. However, after making that "woman" younger and applying makeup, the image appeared more feminine but not even close to what I look as Cristy. Needless to say, that I will not show those images here, but must admit that the resulting woman displayed a distant genetic resemblance to the man while not look remotely like the woman that man can turn into.
Of all the photos I have tried so far, and I have tried a lot, only one was identified as male and not as female. I think that my expression might have been too rough in that particular image. Unfortunately, I do not recall which was it, as I deleted it as soon as the results were not as expected. Call it vanity or disappointment! :P
CONCLUSION
I really like how the feminine filter make the original photo look much more feminine without drastic changes. You will notice a wider mouth, larger eyes with more shading and a more luminous face. It also lengthened the hair just a bit and changed the color to a lighter shade. I think that, in reality, similar results could be achieved if I were to spend some time contouring and shading my face and putting more eye shadow and eyeliner to make the eyes look bigger.
From an objective point of view, the original image looks convincingly feminine but still displays masculine proportions and features. The resulting image is, in my opinion, convincingly feminine and could fool most of the people who see it. The way I see it is how would my face could change if I were to take hormones. Tempting as it may be, I will never post a photo that has been enhanced with the app without making it very clear the enhancements that have been applied and will, most likely, post it next to the original for illustrative purposes.
In future postings I will show how age and hair length can be changed and finally how using the only makeup filter that comes with the free app, results in overkill and very fake looking images.
Oh, and nothing I can do about the big nose!

Antes de compartir impresiones más detalladas de los resultados de utilizar la FaceApp para resaltar y modificar el rostro, les comparto el primer filtro que podemos aplicar. Cuando suben una foto a la aplicación, toma unos segundos en lo que identifica rostros. Si encuentra solo un rostro, procede a abrir la imagen y si identifica más pregunta cuál se quiere utilizar. Una vez se tiene el rostro, se muestra la pantalla inicial (imagen izquierda) y da varias opciones para elegir, incluyendo género.
De acuerdo con mis experimentos, el primer, y probablemente único, filtro que deberíamos de aplicar para lucir más femeninas, es el de género. Si la aplicación reconoció la foto como femenina, presentará únicamente un filtro femenino y dos masculinos (imagen central). La opción femenina resaltará las características femeninas, cambiando proporciones, iluminación y sombreado del rostro y alargando el cabello un poquito (imagen derecha). Las dos opciones masculinas transforman tu rostro en un equivalente masculino que, en mi caso, ambos resultaron muy distintos a mi verdadera identidad.
Por el otro lado, si la aplicación identifica el rostro como masculino, el menú presentará una sola opción masculina y dos femeninas; una con cabello corto y la otra con cabello largo. Yo hice la prueba con las dos opciones femeninas utilizando mi foto masculina y los resultados fueron terribles y en nada parecidos a Cristy. Sin embargo, luego de hacer a esa "mujer" más joven, ponerle el cabello largo y maquillaje, el resultado fue más femenino pero sin siquiera acercarse a cómo luzco como Cristy. No compartiré ninguna de esas imágenes aquí pero debo de admitir que la mujer resultante mostraba algún parecido distante al hombre pero ninguna con la mujer en la que ese hombre se transforma en la realidad.
De todas las fotos que he probado hasta ahora, y he probado muchas, solo una fue identificada como hombre y no como mujer. Esto seguramente se debió a que mi expresión en esa foto es muy dura. Desafortunadamente no recuerdo cuál fue esa imagen ya que la borré en cuanto los resultados no fueron los esperados. Llamémoslo vanidad o desilusión :P
CONCLUSIÓN
Me gusta cómo el filtro femenino hace ver la foto original más femenina sin cambios drásticos. Podrán notar una boca más ancha, ojos más grandes y mejor sombreados y un rostro más luminoso. También alarga y aclara el cabello un poquito. Considero que, en la realidad, se pueden obtener resultados similares utilizando maquillaje de contorno y maquillar más los ojos para hacerlos lucir más grandes.
Desde un punto de vista objetivo, la imagen original luce convincentemente femenina pero muestra proporciones y características masculinas. La imagen resultante, en mi opinión, es convincentemente femenina y engañaría a la mayoría de personas que la vieran. Yo lo veo como la manera en que luciría mi rostro si hubiera tomado hormonas. Por tentador que sea, jamás compartiré una foto que ha sido alterada con la aplicación sin mencionar la manera en que la imagen fue manipulada y seguramente la publicaría junto a la imagen original para efectos ilustrativos.
En comentarios posteriores les mostraré los efectos de manipular la edad y longitud del cabello y finalmente como al utilizar el único filtro de maquillaje en la aplicación gratuita, resulta en una imagen que luce demasiado artificial.
¡Nada que hacer con la nariz grande!

PANCADA DE CHUVA E OBJETOS MISTERIOSOS...
- Neste dia, março de 2015, as chuvas foram muitos fortes. E o centro da cidade parece ter recebido a maior parte da chuva. Tenho o hábito de ampliar as imagens para ver a qualidade da mesma e o quanto de ruído foi gerado e se dá para dar uma minimizada na situação. E o que aconteceu? Para minha surpresa, quando fui ampliar a imagem notei a presença de muitos pontos estranhos que identifiquei como objetos misteriosos no meio da tempestade. O que ficou mais destacado parece ser aquela aeronave americana de espionagem o Stealth. No entanto, só é possível notar os objetos quando se amplia a imagem. Lembre-se: A foto foi gerada por um celular, portanto, é impressionante ter captado tais objetos e bem no meio da tempestade, e, pelos meus cálculos, em função da distância e dos baixos recursos da câmera, um Samsung Galaxy S5, não deviam ser pequenos não!
RAIN PANTS AND MYSTERIOUS OBJECTS...
- On this day, March 2015, the rains were very heavy. And the city center seems to have received most of the rain. I have the habit of enlarging the images to see the quality of the same and how much noise was generated and it is possible to minimize the situation. And what happened? To my surprise, when I went to enlarge the image, I noticed the presence of many strange points that I identified as mysterious objects in the middle of the storm. What stood out the most seems to be that American spy aircraft the Stealth. However, it is only possible to notice the objects when the image is enlarged. Remember: The photo was generated by a cell phone, so it is impressive to have captured such objects and right in the middle of the storm, and, by my calculations, due to the distance and the low resources of the camera, a Samsung Galaxy S5, no they shouldn't be small!

Ha costat arribar a tenir aquesta càmera, però finalment em vaig llençar a comprar-la, la més cara de la col·lecció. És realment una joia, tant pel seu acabat com per com funciona, com sona l’obturador. Realment pots notar la famosa precisió mecànica alemana. Queda clar com, despres de perdre en certa mesura el lideratge absolut que tenia Leica fins finals dels anys 30, amb aquesta càmera es posà per davant de tots els competidors altre vegada (fins la arribada de Nikon i la seva F1). La competició amb la Contax quedà guanyada de forma absoluta.
La Leica M3 es fabricà entre el 1954 i el 1966, amb només unes poques variacions. Respecte a la veterana Leica III, la M3 incorpora moltes millores: objectius amb montura de baioneta, avançament amb palanca, totes les velocitats en un sol comandament, un millor (però encara força tancat) sistema de carrega del rodet, telèmetre més precís, i especialment el visor més avançat del moment, i potser el millor de tots els temps. Aquest visor, molt lluminós, permet enfocar i enquadrar alhora, i també detecta automaticament la focal del objectiu montat a la càmera. Tot mecanicament i sense cap bateria.
Entre les moltes a escollir, reconec que vaig triar aquesta càmera en concret pel nr. de sèrie força bonic, el 1.088.288. Això fa que sigui una M3 més aviat tardana, fabricada a Wetzlar el 1963. L’objectiu és un Leitz Elmar f2.8 / 50mm col·lapsable (fabricat el 1960), força similar al classic Elmar de les Leica I, II i III.

It took a while to get this camera, but I finally rushed to buy it, the most expensive in the collection. It's really a gem, both for its finish and for how it works, how the shutter sounds. You can really notice the famous German mechanical precision. It is clear how, after losing to some extent the absolute leadership that Leica had until the late 1930s, with this camera it got ahead of all competitors again (until the arrival of Nikon and its F1). The competition with Contax was won in an absolute way.
The Leica M3 was manufactured between 1954 and 1966, with only a few variations. Compared to the veteran Leica III, the M3 incorporates many improvements: bayonet-mounted lenses, lever advance, all speeds in a single lever, a better (but still quite closed) film loading system, more accurate rangefinder, and especially the most advanced viewfinder of the moment, and perhaps the best of all time. This viewfinder, very bright, allows you to focus and frame at the same time, and also automatically detects the focal length of the lens mounted on the camera. All mechanically and without any battery.
Among the many to choose from, I admit that I chose this particular camera for it's nice serial number, the 1,088,288. This makes it a rather late M3, manufactured in Wetzlar in 1963; it's a single-stroke advance M3 (the earlier ones being double-stroke). The target is a collapsible Leitz Elmar f2.8 / 50mm (manufactured in 1960), quite similar to the classic Elmar f3.5 / 50mm of the Leica I, II and III .

Calatañazor, Soria, Castilla y León, España.
Calatañazor es una localidad y también un municipio de la provincia de Soria, comunidad autónoma de Castilla y León, España. Pertenece a la comarca de las Tierras del Burgo y al partido judicial de Soria. Cuenta con una población de 51 habitantes (INE, 2020).
Calatañazor está situado a orillas del río Milanos, al suroeste de la capital, de la que dista 32 km. Comprende las pedanías de Abioncillo de Calatañazor y Aldehuela de Calatañazor.
La llegada a Calatañazor por su parte alta depara una panorámica de la medieval ciudad que presenta por ese lado, el suroriental, el escarpe a cuyo pie discurre el río Milanos. La profundidad de la hoz torna innecesaria la utilización de murallas para la defensa de la población; su caserío se muestra por este frente formando una irregular fachada sobre cuyo perfil destaca la iglesia parroquial.
En su acceso por la zona baja, viniendo desde Muriel de la Fuente, las murallas que guarnecen la población por este flanco y las ruinas del castillo otorgan a la localidad ese peculiar aspecto de fortaleza que la caracteriza.
La estructura urbana es muy simple: una empinada calle constituye el eje del poblado en cuyo extremo superior se ubica la plaza mayor, que acoge en su centro un rollo bajomedieval y que reúne en su entorno el castillo y el ayuntamiento.
Todo en Calatañazor tiene sabor tradicional de remotas centurias y atestigua el paso de los siglos como si éstos lo hubieran hecho medrosos y de refilón, sin querer hacerse notar: calles empedradas con canto rodado, casas con desplomadas paredes de tapial de barro y paja o tosca mampostería de piedra, estructura y trabazón confiada a irregulares rollizos de enebro, puertas protegidas por postigos de media altura, cubiertas de teja sobre las que se alzan las genuinas chimeneas cónicas pinariegas.
Un conjunto prototípicamente medieval en su interior y no menos en su exterior, rodeado como está de recia muralla cuyos lienzos y cubos cubren todo su perímetro, con excepción del flanco oriental.
Cuenta además con abundantes restos de un señorial castillo, con dos iglesias —una de ellas románica— y con una tercera muy arruinada pero que todavía deja entrever su románica hechura. Tantos méritos le valieron a la villa de Calatañazor la declaración de Conjunto Histórico-Artístico Nacional en 1962.
Lo que aún perdura del castillo, y que hoy podemos contemplar, se remonta al siglo XIV o XV, sin perjuicio de que en la torre del homenaje se distingan algunas piedras aparejadas al modo árabe que hablan de un origen anterior. Como ha quedado dicho en la reseña histórica, el castillo-palacio fue solar de los Padilla y en él nacieron varios de sus destacados miembros.
La torre del homenaje fue objeto de una somera restauración relativamente reciente; es el único elemento que presenta algún detalle de interés, como la sillería de sus esquinas o la ventana gótica que se abre en uno de sus paramentos. Los lienzos de esta torre, como todo lo demás, son de mampostería.
Resisten en pie dos cubos y varios tambores de la muralla circundante. Es visible también el foso que lo aislaba y defendía por el lado de la población.
Calatañazor is a town and also a municipality in the province of Soria, autonomous community of Castilla y León, Spain. It belongs to the region of Tierras del Burgo and the judicial district of Soria. It has a population of 51 inhabitants (INE, 2020).
Calatañazor is located on the banks of the Milanos river, to the southwest of the capital, from which it is 32 km. It includes the districts of Abioncillo de Calatañazor and Aldehuela de Calatañazor.

Everything in Calatañazor has a traditional flavor of remote centuries and testifies to the passing of the centuries as if they had made it fearful and glancing, without wanting to be noticed: cobbled streets with boulders, houses with collapsed walls made of mud and straw or rough mud. stone masonry, structure and interlocking entrusted to irregular juniper logs, doors protected by half-height shutters, tile roofs on which the genuine conical pine-grove chimneys rise.
A prototypically medieval complex in its interior and no less in its exterior, surrounded as it is by a strong wall whose canvases and cubes cover its entire perimeter, with the exception of the eastern flank.
It also has abundant remains of a stately castle, with two churches - one of them Romanesque - and a third very ruined but which still allows a glimpse of its Romanesque workmanship. So many merits earned the town of Calatañazor the declaration of National Historic-Artistic Complex in 1962.
What still remains of the castle, and that we can contemplate today, dates back to the 14th or 15th century, without prejudice to the fact that in the keep there are some stones set in the Arab way that speak of a previous origin. As has been said in the historical review, the castle-palace was the land of the Padillas and several of its prominent members were born there.

I decided to join the Military Monuments tour at the last minute, and did not have time to change into my walking shoes or bring my shades. Although it was a bus tour we had to step down and walk long distances at each destination so, this sandals with not so high heels, were not the best idea. However, I managed to escape unharmed although the sandal band hurt at times.
Other than that, the tour was very interesting and I got to visit monuments that I had not been to before. Nothing beats being out there as any other woman, minding your own business!

Decidí incorporarme al tour de Monumentos Militares a última hora y no tuve oportunidad de ponerme mis zapatos para caminar o llevar mis lentes para el sol. Aunque el tour era en autobus, teníamos que caminar bastante en los diferentes destinos así que las sandalias, aunque de tacón bajo, no fueron una buena idea. Sin embargo, logré salir ilesa aunque la banda de las sandalias me lastimaba por ratos.
Aparte de eso, el tour fue muy interesante y visité monumentos que no había visitado antes. ¡Nada se siente mejor que ser solo una mujer más ocupándose de sus asuntos en el mundo exterior!

It's not exactly the most exotic species that we expected to see in the tropics, however, I've been waiting for a few years to see and photograph these very special birds. After failing the goal in Jamaica and Panama, I now had the opportunity to shoot not just one but two species.
The Potoos only occur in the New World from Mexico to Argentina including some Caribbean islands, namely in Jamaica where I gave up photographing one because the owner of the property where I had indications of having one, thought he could explore me beyond the limits that seemed reasonable.
As nocturnal birds they rest during the day, but betting everything (its life) in an almost perfect mimicry of the branches where it is perched. They choose a branch in such a way that it looks like just an extension, and if they sense any danger, rather than fly, they adopt an identical pose to the picture above, with a stretched head and eyes closed, but they do so very slowly, in imperceptible way to the watcher.
As we were really excited with this behavior we stayed there for awhile and after some time we started to notice the "mouth" was slowly opening. Maybe because it was very very hot (on this day in Cuiabá the thermometers reached the 48 degrees Celsius) and she needed to get some extra air, so we decided to return and leave her alone.

Não é propriamente a espécie mais exótica e que esperamos ver nos trópicos, mas há já alguns anos que esperava ver e fotografar estas aves muito sui generis. Depois de ter falhado o objetivo na Jamaica e no Panamá, agora tive oportunidade de fotografar logo duas espécies.
Os Urutaus só ocorrem no Novo Mundo desde o México até à Argentina incluindo algumas ilhas das Caraíbas, nomeadamente a Jamaica onde eu desisti de a fotografar porque o dono da propriedade, onde eu tinha indicações de haver uma, achou que me podia explorar para lá dos limites que me pareceram razoáveis.
Como aves noturnas que são repousam durante o dia, mas apostam tudo (a vida) no mimetismo quase perfeito com os ramos onde pousam. Escolhem um ramo de forma a parecem um prolongamento do mesmo e, se pressentem perigo, em vez de voarem, adoptam uma pose idêntica à da foto abaixo, com a cabeça esticada e os olhos fechados, mas fazem-no muito lentamente de modo imperceptível para o observador.
Como ficamos aqui um bom bocado pois estávamos fascinados com este comportamento, passado algum tempo começamos a notar que a boca estava lentamente a abrir. Pensamos que deveria estar a precisar de mais ar (nesse dia em Cuiabá os termómetros chegaram aos 48 graus) e decidimos regressar e deixá-la sossegada.

Un jove pregunta a un mestre ja jubilat.
- Es recorda de mi?
El mestre contesta que no. El jove diu:
- Vaig ser el seu alumne.
El professor pregunta:
- A què et dediques?
- Sóc professor.
- Ah, que bé, com jo.
- Sí, em vaig convertir en mestre perquè vostè em va inspirar.
Llavors el professor li pregunta com va ser això i el jove li va a començar a explicar la història:
"Un dia, un amic meu, també estudiant, va arribar amb un bonic rellotge nou i vaig decidir que el volia per mi. El vaig robar, el vaig treure de la seva butxaca. Poc després el meu amic va notar el robatori i es va queixar a vostè, que era el nostre mestre.
Tot seguit es va dirigir a la classe dient:
- El rellotge d´un company ha estat robat. Qui l´hagi robat que el torni.
Jo no vaig dir res, no el volia tornar.
Vostè va tancar la porta i va dir a tots que ens posessin drets i que aniria un per un per buscar a les butxaques fins a trobar el rellotge. Però va aclarir que els estudiants havien de mantenir els ulls tancats mentre ho feia.
Tots van tancar els ulls i vostè va anar de butxaca en butxaca. Quan va arribar a la meva va trobar el rellotge, el va agafar i va continuar buscant en totes les altres butxaques dels companys. Quan va acabar, va dir:
- Obriu els ulls, ja tenim el rellotge!

Santa María del Castillo es una de las iglesias más antiguas del románico mudéjar de la Moraña. Fue construida en el siglo XII aprovechando los restos de la antigua fortaleza. De sus bienes muebles hay que hacer notar un crucifijo, fechado por Gómez Moreno en el siglo XIII y el retablo barroco del altar mayor del siglo XVIII.

La llegada a Calatañazor por su parte alta depara una panorámica de la medieval ciudad que presenta por ese lado, el suroriental, el escarpe a cuyo pie discurre el río Milanos. La profundidad de la hoz torna innecesaria la utilización de murallas para la defensa de la población; su caserío se muestra por este frente formando una irregular fachada sobre cuyo perfil destaca la iglesia parroquial.
En su acceso por la zona baja, viniendo desde Muriel de la Fuente, las murallas que guarnecen la población por este flanco y las ruinas del castillo otorgan a la localidad ese peculiar aspecto de fortaleza que la caracteriza.
La estructura urbana es muy simple: una empinada calle constituye el eje del poblado en cuyo extremo superior se ubica la plaza mayor, que acoge en su centro un rollo bajomedieval y que reúne en su entorno el castillo y el ayuntamiento.
Todo en Calatañazor tiene sabor tradicional de remotas centurias y atestigua el paso de los siglos como si éstos lo hubieran hecho medrosos y de refilón, sin querer hacerse notar: calles empedradas con canto rodado, casas con desplomadas paredes de tapial de barro y paja o tosca mampostería de piedra, estructura y trabazón confiada a irregulares rollizos de enebro, puertas protegidas por postigos de media altura, cubiertas de teja sobre las que se alzan las genuinas chimeneas cónicas pinariegas.
Un conjunto prototípicamente medieval en su interior y no menos en su exterior, rodeado como está de recia muralla cuyos lienzos y cubos cubren todo su perímetro, con excepción del flanco oriental.
Cuenta además con abundantes restos de un señorial castillo, con dos iglesias —una de ellas románica— y con una tercera muy arruinada pero que todavía deja entrever su románica hechura. Tantos méritos le valieron a la villa de Calatañazor la declaración de Conjunto Histórico-Artístico Nacional en 1962.
Lo que aún perdura del castillo, y que hoy podemos contemplar, se remonta al siglo XIV o XV, sin perjuicio de que en la torre del homenaje se distingan algunas piedras aparejadas al modo árabe que hablan de un origen anterior. Calatañazor está situado a orillas del río Milanos, al suroeste de la capital, de la que dista 32 km. Comprende las pedanías de Abioncillo de Calatañazor y Aldehuela de Calatañazor.
La llegada a Calatañazor por su parte alta depara una panorámica de la medieval ciudad que presenta por ese lado, el suroriental, el escarpe a cuyo pie discurre el río Milanos. La profundidad de la hoz torna innecesaria la utilización de murallas para la defensa de la población; su caserío se muestra por este frente formando una irregular fachada sobre cuyo perfil destaca la iglesia parroquial.
En su acceso por la zona baja, viniendo desde Muriel de la Fuente, las murallas que guarnecen la población por este flanco y las ruinas del castillo otorgan a la localidad ese peculiar aspecto de fortaleza que la caracteriza.
La estructura urbana es muy simple: una empinada calle constituye el eje del poblado en cuyo extremo superior se ubica la plaza mayor, que acoge en su centro un rollo bajomedieval y que reúne en su entorno el castillo y el ayuntamiento.
Todo en Calatañazor tiene sabor tradicional de remotas centurias y atestigua el paso de los siglos como si éstos lo hubieran hecho medrosos y de refilón, sin querer hacerse notar: calles empedradas con canto rodado, casas con desplomadas paredes de tapial de barro y paja o tosca mampostería de piedra, estructura y trabazón confiada a irregulares rollizos de enebro, puertas protegidas por postigos de media altura, cubiertas de teja sobre las que se alzan las genuinas chimeneas cónicas pinariegas.
Un conjunto prototípicamente medieval en su interior y no menos en su exterior, rodeado como está de recia muralla cuyos lienzos y cubos cubren todo su perímetro, con excepción del flanco oriental.
Cuenta además con abundantes restos de un señorial castillo, con dos iglesias —una de ellas románica— y con una tercera muy arruinada pero que todavía deja entrever su románica hechura. Tantos méritos le valieron a la villa de Calatañazor la declaración de Conjunto Histórico-Artístico Nacional en 1962.

The keep was the object of a relatively recent cursory restoration; It is the only element that presents any detail of interest, such as the ashlar in its corners or the Gothic window that opens on one of its walls. The canvases of this tower, like everything else, are masonry.

La "stolperstein" en memoria de Josep Amorós Mestres, victima sabadellenca, com 39 més, dels camps de concentració nazis. Va viure en aquesta casa del c/ Llobet, al centre de Sabadell, s'exilià a França al 1939 davant la victoria feixista a la guerra civil, i el 1941 fou deportat a Mauthausen. Fou assassinat el 4 de juliol de 1941 al subcamp de Gusen, de infame memoria.
És de notar que just davant casa seva vivia una altra victima dels camps, Rafael Montllor, que va morir al castell de Hartheim el setembre del 41.
Les stolpersteine son un projecte massiu del artista aleman Gunter Demming, que es dedica a rememorar el lloc de residencia de totes les victimes nazis que pugui. En porta ja més de 67000 per tot Europa!!!
En total, 59 sabadellencs foren deportats als camps, i 40 hi varen perdre la vida, la majoria a Mauthausen i Gusen.

A "stolperstein" dedicated to the memory of Josep Amorós Mestres, a victim of the nazi concentration camps who lived in my hometown, Sabadell. He was born in 1888 and exiled to France in 1939 due to the fascist victory in the spanish civil war. In 1941 was deported to Mauthausen concentration camp. A few months later he was murdered in Gusen sub-camp, JUST in the 4th of July, 1941. It's quite moving that just in front of his home lived another victim of the nazis, Rafael Montllor (killed in Hartheim castle in september 1941).
The "stolpersteine" are an art project intending to remember as much nazi victims as possible, with small brass covered stones in front of the former houses of the victims. There are already 67000 in all Europe!!!
A total of 59 men and women of Sabadell were deported to nazi concentration camps, and 40 of them lost their lives there.

Viola non è il mio nome, ma è il nome che mi sarebbe piaciuto avere. Una volta, sicura che sarebbe stato solo per una notte, lo usai. Ne ho un bel ricordo, sia di quella notte, sia dell’effetto che mi faceva sentirmi chiamare con quel nome. I miei capelli rossi, gli occhi azzurri e la pelle chiara, fin da piccola avevano acceso come un faro su di me. Difficile che non mi si notasse e difficile non notare come cambiassero gli sguardi su di me man mano che crescevo. Da bimba vezzeggiata dagli adulti, ero diventata la stronza invidiata dalle compagne e la figa desiderata dai compagni. Difficile essere neutrali. Coi ragazzi poi, era un attimo passare da figa a figa puttana, o figa stronza. Tutto dipendeva dal fatto che io scopassi o non scopassi con loro. Li ricordo come anni difficili quelli, soprattutto quelli del liceo. Ora ho una personalità forte, capace di far abbassare lo sguardo a qualsiasi uomo indisponente, però già da allora cominciavo a difendermi bene. La mia dialettica sferzante lasciava spesso un colorito roseo sulle guance dei malcapitati che provavano ad offendermi. Tant’è che mi trovai un paio di volte a dover affrontare anche l’aggressione fisica di chi era stato messo a tacere. Si sa, chi non ha più argomenti perché non ha cervello, arriva anche a pensare di potersi prendere la ragione con la forza. Ma già dopo la seconda volta che mi successe questo, cominciai a passare due ore, due volte la settimana, nella pratica del Kick Boxing. Stavo diventando ancora più stronza.
Così, quando quattro mesi dopo detti una lezione pubblica all’ennesimo imbecille, continuarono sicuramente a parlar male di me, ma mai in mia presenza e sempre a bassa voce.
Non ho più smesso di praticare da allora e sono passati più di vent’anni. Sono una stronza che, come si suol dire, si difende bene. Purtroppo però, la necessità di indurire la mia scorza, non è bastata a proteggermi dalla mia sensibilità. Spesso fuori sono glaciale, ma dentro piango. Mi sono anche sposata alla fine, per abbandono. Stanca di aspettare quello che fosse capace di affrontare la scalata della montagna dove gli altri mi avevano messa. E’ un uomo buono e gli voglio anche bene ma, se alzo la voce, lui sta zitto. Mi sembra di vederlo giù in basso, a mezza strada, incapace di affrontare la parete che lo porterebbe fino a me. Così è la vita. La mia mi ha portata a potermi raccontare solo dietro l’anonimato. Ma come lupa in agguato, in fondo, io aspetto. Aspetto il lupo maschio che giungerà fino a me. Lotterò, non gli sarà facile prendermi. Se ci riuscirà il suo premio sarà, finalmente, la mia pelle.

Viola n'est pas mon nom, mais c'est le nom que j'aimerais avoir. Une fois, sûr que ce ne serait que pour une nuit, je l'ai utilisé. J'en ai un bon souvenir, à la fois de cette nuit et de l'effet que m'a fait d'être appelé par ce nom. Mes cheveux roux, mes yeux bleus et ma peau claire ils étaient comme un phare dirigé vers moi dès mon plus jeune âge. Difficile de ne pas me remarquer et difficile de ne pas remarquer comment changéit les regards sur moi pendant que je grandissais. Enfant choyée par les adultes, j'étais devenue la garce enviée des autres filles et la chatte désirée par les potes. Il était difficile d'être neutre. Avec les garçons puis c'était un moment pour passer de chatte à chatte de pute, ou chatte de garce. Tout dépendait si je baisais avec eux ou non. Je me souviens des années difficiles, surtout celles du lycée. Maintenant, j'ai une forte personnalité, capable de faire baisser les yeux à n'importe quel homme ennuyeux, mais même alors, je commençais à bien me défendre. Ma dialectique cinglante laissait souvent une couleur rouge sur les joues des malheureux qui pensaient m'offenser. En fait, à quelques reprises, je me suis retrouvé à devoir faire face à l'agression physique de ceux qui avaient été réduits au silence. Vous savez, ceux qui n'ont plus d'arguments parce qu'ils n'ont pas d'intelligence, en viennent aussi à penser qu'ils peuvent prendre raison par la force. Mais déjà après la deuxième fois que cela m'est arrivé, je me suis retrouvé à passer deux heures, deux fois par semaine, à pratiquer le Kick Boxing. Je devenais encore plus garce. Ainsi, lorsque quatre mois plus tard je donnai une leçon publique à un autre imbécile, ils continuèrent certes à dire du mal de moi, mais jamais en ma présence et toujours à voix basse. Je n'ai pas cessé de pratiquer depuis et plus de vingt ans se sont écoulés. Je suis une garce qui, comme on dit, se défend bien. Malheureusement, cependant, le besoin de raffermir ma peau n'allait pas de pair avec le renforcement de ma sensibilité. Je suis souvent glacial en apparence, mais à l'intérieur je pleure. Je me suis aussi marié finalement, par abandon. Fatigué d'attendre la bonne personne capable de gravir la montagne où les autres m'avaient mis. C'est un bon homme et je l'aime bien aussi, mais si j'élève la voix, il va se taire. J'ai l'impression de le voir à mi-hauteur, incapable d'affronter la paroi qui le porterait jusqu'à moi. C'est la vie. Le mien m'a amené à ne pouvoir me dire que derrière l'anonymat. Mais comme une louve qui attend, j'attends. J'attends le loup mâle qui viendra à moi. Je me battrai, ce ne sera pas facile pour lui de me prendre. S'il lui réussira, sa récompense sera enfin ma peau.

Hace años, al pasar por un baldío que generalmente se llenaba de flores, las de color amarillo llamaron mi atención. Había muchos insectos y un escarabajo se posó sobre una flor cercana el tiempo suficiente para tomar esta foto. Los pequeños detalles que no pude notar a simple vista se me hicieron asombrosos al ver la foto en tamaño completo en la computadora como la complejidad de la flor y los granos de polen en el escarabajo. Hoy ese lote baldío es un estacionamiento y el cemento ocupa el lugar donde una vez crecían las flores, pero en ocasiones aún se les puede encontrar en unos cuantos espacios que sobrevivieron.
Years ago I was passing by a vacant lot that was usually full with wildflowers and the yellow ones took my attention. There were several insects around, then a beetle stepped on a nearby flower and I took this photo. All the little details that I did not noticed then amazed me when looking the image full size on the computer screen, like the complexity of the flower and the pollen on the beetle. Now the vacant lot is a parking lot but sometimes the wildflowers still grow.
In late 2013, I decided to try and see how many different aircraft types and variants I could photograph in a calendar year. This is the result of that. I photographed 590 different type/model/series of aircraft in 2014, with 580 of those presented in this image (I lost several in a hard drive crash this summer).
While this started out as a fun project, it felt more and more like work as the year went on, with me making stupid trips all the way across town just to photograph a single aircraft in marginal light simply because I hadn't shot that type yet in 2014.
I'm glad to have this ridiculous project behind me and am looking forward to shooting only what I want to shoot in the conditions I want to shoot in, with the focus being on quality, not quantity.

Ha costat arribar a tenir aquesta càmera, però finalment em vaig llençar a comprar-la, la més cara de la col·lecció. És realment una joia, tant pel seu acabat com per com funciona, com sona l’obturador. Realment pots notar la famosa precisió mecànica alemana. Queda clar com, despres de perdre en certa mesura el lideratge absolut que tenia Leica fins finals dels anys 30, amb aquesta càmera es posà per davant de tots els competidors altre vegada (fins la arribada de Nikon i la seva F1). La competició amb la Contax quedà guanyada de forma absoluta.
La Leica M3 es fabricà entre el 1954 i el 1966, amb només unes poques variacions. Respecte a la veterana Leica III, la M3 incorpora moltes millores: objectius amb montura de baioneta, avançament amb palanca, totes les velocitats en un sol comandament, un millor (però encara força tancat) sistema de carrega del rodet, telèmetre més precís, i especialment el visor més avançat del moment, i potser el millor de tots els temps. Aquest visor, molt lluminós, permet enfocar i enquadrar alhora, i també detecta automaticament la focal del objectiu montat a la càmera. Tot mecanicament i sense cap bateria.
Entre les moltes a escollir, reconec que vaig triar aquesta càmera en concret pel nr. de sèrie força bonic, el 1.088.288. Això fa que sigui una M3 més aviat tardana, fabricada a Wetzlar el 1963. L’objectiu és un Leitz Elmar f2.8 / 50mm col·lapsable (fabricat el 1960), força similar al classic Elmar de les Leica I, II i III.

It took a while to get this camera, but I finally rushed to buy it, the most expensive in the collection. It's really a gem, both for its finish and for how it works, how the shutter sounds. You can really notice the famous German mechanical precision. It is clear how, after losing to some extent the absolute leadership that Leica had until the late 1930s, with this camera it got ahead of all competitors again (until the arrival of Nikon and its F1). The competition with Contax was won in an absolute way.
The Leica M3 was manufactured between 1954 and 1966, with only a few variations. Compared to the veteran Leica III, the M3 incorporates many improvements: bayonet-mounted lenses, lever advance, all speeds in a single lever, a better (but still quite closed) film loading system, more accurate rangefinder, and especially the most advanced viewfinder of the moment, and perhaps the best of all time. This viewfinder, very bright, allows you to focus and frame at the same time, and also automatically detects the focal length of the lens mounted on the camera. All mechanically and without any battery.
Among the many to choose from, I admit that I chose this particular camera for it's nice serial number, the 1,088,288. This makes it a rather late M3, manufactured in Wetzlar in 1963; it's a single-stroke advance M3 (the earlier ones being double-stroke). The target is a collapsible Leitz Elmar f2.8 / 50mm (manufactured in 1960), quite similar to the classic Elmar f3.5 / 50mm of the Leica I, II and III .
